The Complete Book of U.S. Military Pocket Knives: From the Revolutionary War to the Present

I have two good friends who enjoy military history. I was going stale trying to get them books with new (to them) information that they didn't already have. Bingo! I was browsing through Amazon for Christmas gifts, saw this, and knew they'd not been aware of such an extensive historical field. The information, photos, and diagrams are well presented and the overall quality is quite good. Both friends were delighted to find a whole new field to discover and learn about.

Great pictures and great info. Great gift idea for someone into military stuff, or just a neat reference for an entry level collector of knives.

lots of good history on knifes but expected a little more and different styles of knives.

This is a remarkable and remarkably created AND informative trek through a most uniquesubject just not otherwise found, at least of this scope and quality.The photographs including of the rarest of the rare knives that all played an essential part in this Country's Historyare creative and precise and the writing is concisely informative,written by a premier collector and custom knifemaker.

Absolutely must for everyone who is interested in history of US military pocket knives. Another great book by Mike Silvey. Highly recommended!
