Detailing starts with a good wash and clean followed up by clay bar the paint before polishing and sealing the paint. Using a dealing clay sponge make life much simpler and speed up the process. The clay sponge works very well and help speed up the process.

These have been sitting in my garage doing nothing. My wife and I both have white cars and our trees decided to drop black dots all over our cars. Yes, we use automated car washes sometimes, but not even that could remove these black dots. I soaked the car in soap. Pressure washed. Soaked again, used a mit. Nothing touched it. I soaped the car up and quickly hit it with the clay bar. All spots were gone.Only down side is if you hit an edge, it leaves a black mark on the edge, which takes a little effort to get off

The clay did a good job. I tried them to compare to the actual clay and it’s okay. I love the fill of the clay in my hand, just preference. No knock on this product, it did the job.

I used these this weekend to clay my car. These worked pretty well but I think real clay does a better job. I've used the clay towel before on my other car and the sponge was a lot better. It almost got all the fine embedded dirt off of the paint and because you can grip this, it's easier to use. The clay material was pretty clingy and did it's job well. The sponge side also allows you to apply soapy water to the surface so I don't have to carry around a spray bottle anymore. A good product and it is easy to use.

Handy, good item easy to use. If dropped, it can be rinsed or washed off, which I like. Don't know if if works better or worst that a traditional clay bar. I like simplicity and ease, which this is. I had other similar type of (rubberized) pads, all of which after some time became sticky and crumbly ending up in the trash.

Initially gave this product a one star because it did not work as good as big brand products but did another car with it and worked ok. Yes it will remove some some embedded grime in your vehicle's clear coat but have to work hard. Did my sister's car with it and it smooth out the paint and brought out some shine. Great product for 1st timers

It’s defense better than clay bar. Amazingly something so insignificant as this product, could give you so much income if you are a detailer like me, or so much satisfaction if you have polish your car. Price is more than right. If you want to have your car in mint conditions this product is for you.

While these do work as a synthetic clay bar, I was finding that they were leaving vertical lines (like little bar codes) across the paint, where the rubber was coming off. Three stars, because it very well could have been a reaction to the lube I was using (Adam's Waterless Wash).
