It got the yob done...
No I'm not an expert, never even use one before but did have knowledge about about the system, what to look for and expect. I did know my R-22 ac system was low in pressure and freezing more and more often. One of my brother did have a cylinder of 30# R-22 Then I hook-it up. I did know the small line was going to the high pressure side and the fat one to the low pressure side. I turn off all the valve in the gage system, hook-up the tank, purge everything (gage wise) and hook-it up to the AC system. As expected it was low, I charge-it to 64 / 200 at an outside temp of humid florida at 94 (all deg. F and PSI). and Voila. Now my AC is working better then EVER. I find-out one of the cap was defective and replace them all with metal one... I hope that was what cause the leak to start with. I should add the system is about 5 to 6 years old...Well I can't tell if it is accurate, if it's professional grade but it got me doing the yob, be so happy and the old-lady too. What can I ask more? Anyway if you are a pro, don't be cheap get the best and expensive one, anyway you will make-it back.

Does not have the quick connects as stated. Did the job.
Does not have the quick connects as stated. I had to return it and buy another that has them or spend another $14 and wait another 3 days for them. I did not know that auto systems have real quick connects but this comes with screw on fittings. I got these.https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B014FFQJEG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1That having been said it did the job and at a good price. The gauges read correctly, the fittings were tight. I did have to tighten the screws that hold the handles on. I would have given four stars if it weren't for the deception about the quick connects.

Works great for occassional use.
If you are familiar with HVAC work and need a cheap set of gauges, these work just fine. Most people using these will be using a pt (pressure/temperature) chart for the refrigerant they are servicing so the fact that these only read in centigrade shouldn't big a big deal but I do find it a slight inconvenience. That and the short hoses that have poorly angled storage receptors, is the reason for the 4 instead of five stars. They are still a good value for the price and functionality.

NOTHING WRONG WITH THESE
I used to do auto a/c back in the day when R12 was the norm. Of course things change and I have been using gauges for R134a ever since.Well I decided to check out my home A/C which being R22 uses the same gauges and connectors as for R12.I pulled my gauges out from my old AC box and to my dismay my hoses were all cracked up. I was looking to replace just the hoses but seen this complete set in Amazon cheaper than replacement hoses. These gauges are just fine with all three connectors being off-set to fit into tight spaces with a hose length of 72".Also comes with a hanger hook and a sight glass. The valves look pretty solid with plastic handles. These probably would last as long as the higher price models, as long as one does not go throwing them around and dropping them on occasion.

A Great Deal For The Money Spent!
Received everything exactly as described and shown in picture. If you are the basic shade-tree mechanic type then this is a perfect addition to your toolkit.I was quickly able to hook up to my older car using the old R12 system plus connecting to home AC system with no problems. You will need adapters if you use the newer R134 systems but these adapters can be had very reasonably priced. Why pay hundreds of dollars for something that you will probably use only a few times each year when, unless you are professionally engaged in AC work this set is more than adequate?

Poor quality manufacturing
Poor quality manufacturing, I had to work on the high side valve to get it to work someone started it in a bind and I had to remove it and put a little refrigerant oil on the threads to get it to work. The high side 36" hose would not start on the gauge, the seal was not all the way installed and was in a bind, had to remove and replace it, to get the line screwed on. I haven't used them as of yet, but would not recommend them for a professional AC person that had to depend on them performing every day. I forgot the high pressure knob did not have a screw in it, I had to find one to fix that.Other than that they are normal foreign made POS!!!

Works well. Check your O-rings before connecting them...
Worked well for my HVAC repair on my 4Runner. I had to use some adapters due to these being meant for R12 only (adapters: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JFHNEC/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_16). One reviewer commented that the lenses were detached on receipt. Mine were as well, but, they are meant to be removable, so that's not a big deal. The only issue that I have had with these and the reason that I knock them down a star is that there are these little rubber "O-rings" in the connectors. I had these things fall out twice. The hoses have storage bungs, but, it's still easy to lose these. If you don't notice they are gone, you'll be greeted with a strong blast of freon leakage when you connect the high side. Other than that, they did a great job and now I have a nice and cold A/C in my Jeep.

No Quick Connect Adapters or R134a adapters either
I bought this item to do home AND car A/C systems. You can not do R134a without shelling out another $40 to 50 bucks for the quick connect adapters needed with this unit. Also, had to use pliers to screw on central A/C condensor unit outside before it would give me any pressure readings. Then, when ready to disconnect, was a total NIGHTMARE!!! Started with the low side, and freon was buzzing everywhere! Then, screwed it back in(with the pliers of course), tried the high pressure side. Lost at least 1 pound of freon before I could screw high pressure line back on. Turned unit off for about 30 minutes and was able to take lines off, BUT still was enough pressure to lose almost another pound of freon!!! Don't buy this junk! You do get what you pay for, now days more then ever!!!
