My Sister the Vampire #2: Fangtastic!

Olivia, a human, and Ivy, a vampire, are twins. However, they were adopted by different families. Both want to know about their birth parents but it seems as though very little information is known about them. Now Serena Star, star of The Morning Star news program, starts snooping around believing there is something sinister happening in Franklin Grove and she is out to expose it. Will she? Will others learn that Olivia and Ivy are twins? Will their parents learn of it?I enjoyed this quick read. I like the differences between Olivia and Ivy but I like that they know of each other. I appreciate that they help one another also. Their personalities are different but compliment each other. I wish Ivy's father did not dismiss her wanting to find her birth parents. She took the initiative to find them but there's a mystery there.I look forward to reading more of this series to get my questions answered.

Young girls often dream that they have a lost identical sister. In this series, twins Ivy and Olivia find one another, but there is a twist. Ivy is a vampire, Olivia is mortal. And vampires are never allowed to tell humans about their existence. Many challenges must be conquered in order for these young girls to be together.The writing is fairly simple, and the plot lines are predictable, with only small surprises. So, why did I give it five stars? It got my eleven year old to read four books in three days. She didn't play with the brand-new wii games, or the PS3 games we rented. She didn't even want to put it down to eat. There is nothing I find objectionable in them, and these books enthralled my daughter. After all, they were written for her, not me. So, I don't think it gets better than that.

It's about a vampire named ivy who meets her girly sweet vegetarian long lost twin sister. A reporter named Serena Star interviews ivy and Olivia school. now they have to stop Serena Star from finding out ivy's vampire secret. I think this book is a tiny drop of romantic, 4 teaspoons of sweet and mischievous and 5 cups of interesting. (I am an identical twin and its awesome expect most people get are names mixed up)

Awesome book! Great sequel to the first. My daughter loves this series. Can't wait to read more. They def leave you intrigued.

This is the second book in the My Sister the Vampire series. I am really liking it so far and love how the characters are developing. Can hardly wait to read the next book.

I really liked this book because it ties back to book #1 Switched . My favorite part was when Ivy and Olivia switched because Ivy had to eat garlic witch kills vampires . Serena Star (the reporter ) thought holy water and the bible would burst her into flames or something . You should read this is you like vampires and secrets .

I bought this series for my 10 year old daughter and she loves the series. She has read all four book at least 4 times this summer. It does have a different take on vampires, but since the author is targeting pre-teens I think it is appropriate to make the vampires less violent and evil than you read in some vampire novels. My daughter is looking forward to more books being released by Siena Mercer.

My children never liked reading I mean when I got this book for my eight year old she would never stop reading. I would have to tell her to do her homework which she usually did first thing she came home!! Very very amazing how first they hate reading but then when you get them a good book they love it!!

Meine Tochter ist jetzt im dritten Englischlernjahr und kann die Bücher aus dieser Reihe problemlos lesen. Für alle Mädels, die auf Vampiergeschichten stehen zu empfehlen. Die Bücher sind aber noch etwas "kindlicher" vom Inhalt her, im Vergleich zu der House of Night Reihe oder ähnlichen Vampierstories, aber um das Englisch etwas zu verbessern durchaus geeignet.

This is a great book! You feel like you can actually see the whole thing happening in front of you! The story is great full of mystery adventure and love :-)
