5 stars. Very nice item. Worked fine for my needs. Nice deal on the 100 pack. However the 8 pack add on was a bit pricey, but I needed more than 100 spikes. Not sure why someone would rate these bad. No trouble with my 16 oz HF cheap mallet. Hammered in no issues. 108 spikes, no bending. A+.

I purchased these stakes not for tents but to stake down Terrace Board Landscape Edging. In order to do so I needed to bend the stakes to approximately 3/16" of an in gap so that they could go over the edging. In order to do so I had to put the stakes in a vice and hit it with a mini sledge hammer bend it so I could then squeeze it in the vice to get it to the 3/16" gap. After this modification it works great. However, to bend these stakes it is not an easy task as they are extremely well built. After doing about 10, I need to take a break (I'm 75). The 9" length is great. Perfect for my use. Another minor design delight is that the stake has a circular point at the end. This means that the stake will drive straight into the ground unlike when you have a stake with just an edge point or no point at all which might go in crooked slightly.

Arizona yards do not have dirt like the rest of the country. Our yards are like cement. You can't just "dig a hole" or nail in a tent stake. We also get heavy winds. I can't tell you how many tent stakes we've gone through because others bend easily when you're pounding them in. THESE are the BEST to get for our desert yard! They work perfectly to pound in and keep our yard decorations from blowing over. They don't bend easily at all and I recommend them highly.

These are nice heavy duty stakes.

Heavy... not for backpacking!

I used these tent stakes to anchor lawn ornaments and they drive so easily into the hard, cold ground. I've used and re-used them and am very happy with how easy they are to install, how well they hold anchored in place, and how easy they are to remove.

Stakes are well made and was able to drive into our Georgia clay without bending. Used stakes to secure catio and prevent our cats from escaping. Stakes are working great.
