Honeywell North 5500 Series half mask with (2) N75003 OVAG cartridges. Size large. (5503L)

This works perfectly and saves my lungs at work. I work around phosphoric acid. Without this mask I wouldn't be able to breathe at work or afterwards. My employer doesn't provide safety equipment and this is the exact mask recommended by the manufacturer of the chemicals I use.Thank you, Amazon for selling this setup and saving my lungs! This mask is advertised as including 2 organic vapor/acid gas cartridges; however, what you will actually receive is a plain plastic bag with a mask and a pack of filters inside (no manufacturer packaging. While disappointing, this is not the real problem. The cartridges that are actually included are for organic vapor only... NOT ACID GAS!!! I contacted Amazon regarding this and they refunded my order. They also promised that they would pull the listing off of their system when I explained to them that one whiff of some acid gases can actually kill you. I see that they still haven't taken down the listing though, so BUYER BEWARE!!!

I bought this mask to use when I was prepping my basement floor for epoxy coating. I used muriatic acid and the mask was great. I could not smell or breath in, any of the acid fumes. The only question I have is when to replace the cartridges. The instruction did not give you a clear answer. It worked fine for my whole project, but if I need the mask in the future I'm not sure if the cartridges are still good.

I used this for protection when I used HC Infusion Acid Stain on a concrete floor in an enclosed space. I couldn't smell the muriatic acid at all. I also used it when I applied the sealer, which had strong fumes that smelled like varnish. Again, no scent at all with the mask on. I wouldn;t want to wear it all day but for an hour or two it is great.

After a few months of use a sticky residue has formed on the mask, had the same problem with another top line brand. Going to stick with the 6503 from Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing.
