My dog didn't like the texture

The training school we have been taking our pup to has Kuranda dog beds in their arena, and my dog loved it, so I figured she'd be very happy to have one of her own. She also loves to chew her other beds up, but this one is virtually chew-proof, especially because the fabric slides into a slot in the frame vs wrapping around the frame; it makes it almost impossible to get ahold of anything to chew on. I guess she could chew on the PVC frame (she hasn't even tried), but it is very heavy duty, so even if she did, it would just leave marks and not destroy it. I also like that you are able to buy specific parts from Kuranda in the event something breaks. Come summer (and camping season), the woven fabric will help keep her cool, as air can circulate, and it will be very easy to spray off with a hose to clean it. We've had it a couple of months now and it still looks brand new!

This is a first class dog bed in every respect but I rate it 4 stars because of the price. I bought only 1 bed (40 X 25) even though I have two dogs. Some reviewers said their dogs did not like the bed, so this was a trial run. Both dogs were skeptical at first but after about a week, the first one to bed would always take dibs on the new dog bed, the floor being the alternative. One or the other was always on it, period. When Amazon invited me to rate it, I fully intended to give it my stamp of approval by purchasing another. It was obvious the next one should be at least the next bigger size for our 96# Lab. Having noticed the plastic rails do bend under his weight, I figured I would buy the aluminum version since the spans would be even longer. As much as I love my dogs, that was getting out of my price range. Good quality! I bought two at the same time. My only recommendations would be to update the assembly instructions - I tightened some bolts instead of waiting until the end (also at the end of the directions), and had to take it apart for the most part and start over because I shouldn't have fully tightened. My fault - but it would be nice to clearly read "do not tighten until the end" at the beginning.The bed squeaks a little at first and this made our one dog stay away from it for awhile until we basically threw him on it and he got used to it. It could also use an optional rubber cap foot to buy that will fit it. They slid on our concrete floors and that scared them too. I've looked in the home improvement stores but will probably have to order rubber 'feet' to put on because they're a large diameter. I say optional because of chewers, you wouldn't want them as a standard issued add-on.Other than that, they clean well, they're light and easy to move, and our dogs now love them. The delivery was fast and overall it was easy to put together.

I'm 70 years old and managed to put the XL Kuranda dog bed together in about an hour's time w/o the aid of directions or assistance from my husband who was at work. I looked at all the parts that tumbled out of the overturned tube-shaped box, but didn't find any instructions. I figured since it came w/ no instructions, the assembly must be fairly easy. So after looking at all the parts, I got a screwdriver and proceeded putting the bed together myself (with a bit of moral support from my curious dog). Once the bed was completed, I started tearing down the box for recycling. That's when I discovered the instructions were stuck in the bottom of the box! They'd been included all along, I just hadn't found them. I'll also share that the most challenging part of assembling the bed by myself was the fourth corner--because you have to stretch the fabric pretty taut and at the same time match up holes to insert the final bolts into. At that point, a third hand would have been helpful! It only took about a minute and a couple of sniffs before my dog climbed onto the bed to claim it as hers!

These beds are by far the best "dog" beds on the market....We have 3 labs, 2 of which are very old and SMELL !!!!The beds are not only warm in the winter, and cool in the summer... they are easy on the "old ladies" joints...MOST IMPORTANT.... YOU CAN SPRAY THEM OFF WITH THE HOSE AND THEY DRIY INSTANTLY... THEY DO NOT KEEP THE "STINK" IN THEM....We have bought to date, 5 of them and put them in different rooms so that the 4 legged family has their own "sofa" too!Actually thinking of ordering a heating pad for the one that is in a room that has no heat in it for this winter.... as the 13 year old would be in heaven!!! (no pun intended!!)I could really sell these beds.... and have actually had several friends by them after seeing ours!Hope this helps....

Really love these as they have metal bars inside of the tubes to prevent them from bending in time. The only thing I don't like is the exposed metal screws look like they will rust after being hosed off or rained on but overall very happy with the beds. The birch color stays cool to the touch which is a big plus as my dogs like to lounge in the sunshine. I bought the XL size for my small Whippets but would not want anything else, it will be smaller than you expect so if you have a larger dog go with the biggest size available.

I was a little uncertain how well this bed would go over in my house. I have an older dog that has been having a little difficulty getting on the couch, so I bought him this bed and a memory foam orthopedic bed. The Kuranda bed is in the living room and he lays on it all the time even though it sits next to the couch and can literally be used as a step up to the couch. His sister, a young 2 year old with no mobility problems will often lay on this bed when her older brother is not on it. In my opinion, it's a little expensive for what it is, but the kids love it and it will be well used.

Our 4 month old pup took to the bed quickly. Only a couple of kibble bribes were needed! LolBed is well made. The corner assembly needed 2 people: one to hold the holes in alignment to allow for the screws to be pushed through. The last corner was the toughest one. I am impressed with the quality of the bed. However, it has only been in use for one week. I presume this will last for our dog's lifetime. It is easy to carry and clean. I purchased the Size Large bed for our terrier/poodle cross. He is considered a medium sized dog at 35 to 45 pounds. The Large bed is the perfect size for our dog.I recommend this bed. Be sure to measure the dimensions given for each bed size before ordering.

I like the bed and think it is a great idea.It appears to be well made and was easy to assemble. Unfortunately our dog prefers sleeping on the floor so it is hardly used.
