The best in class!
Love my dewalt screwdriver. It lightness and power is awesome. Tight spots, no problems. Battery life for such a small battery is also very cool!

Merry Christmas to me!
I needed a shorter cordless screwdriver. For one specific job. I went with this one. Even though most of cordless power tools, I have and the shop I am at, are M12 Milwaukee. I have the older M12 types, while the shop uses newer smaller stronger lighter Fuel versions. Which meant having to switch another battery system. The Dewalt is much lighter and grips better than my Milwaukee. I don't have small hands, but the Milwaukee handle, is wider than I like, because the battery pack partially in the handle. The Dewalt the battery pack is completely under the handle. Which I find to be more comfortable.Putting in screws overhead is a lot easier because of how light it is. I am able to get in tighter spots with it being shorter, though it is a tad bit wider than I like, it makes getting to screws o pn inside corners kind of hard.I like having three LED lights around the hex chuck, less shadow than a single light drill or screw gun. The brushless motor makes the battery last a long time, I haven't killed one yet on a job. It is strong enough for most screws (mainly 3/16") that I install. The clutch settings on the screwdriver are about 2 in-lbs per the 1-15 settings. Then jumps way up to like to I believe 200 inch lbs (can't quite remember). The stupid Dewalt watt power output setting for torque quote sucks. The Milwaukee I have is stronger, but it's also bigger, heavier, and less comfortable.I recommend the Dewalt if you are installing a lot of screws up to 3/16". Up to 30 inch lbs. I got the matching impact, they make a great combo.

My Top Go To Tool!
I've been using a DeWalt 12v 1/4" drive for years. The previous model developed an issue with the bit holder. Bought re-build kits but I eventually gave up on it. Poor design. This new design is working great so far. I keep it around the house and can handle some pretty tough projects. Good torque for a 12 volt driver.

Small Size, Power for Most Jobs
I've got a full line of DeWalt 20v tools for larger jobs when extensive power and run time is critical. I also have several of their 12v tools and love their smaller size. This one is a welcome addition and currently resides on my guitar repair bench. I use it for disassembling guitars, installing hardware, etc. The batteries last a long time between charges and the small size is a bonus. I've used some of the smaller 4 v "screwdriver" types but they just don't have the extra power that is sometimes needed and the battery life is disappointing. The cost of this one is considerable in comparison, but for me it's worth it.

Superb except bit wobble
I love this tool. I have been using a impact driver for kitchen cabinet builds but was over torquing frequently and no way to make sure all screws have same torque applied to them to prevent stripping.Love the DeWalt handles. I am comaring it to my impact driver (dewalt DCF887) and this is much lighter and a joy to use. Because it has a clutch you can even use it on small project without worry. Great tool for electrical installations, cabinetry, PRofessional installation, DIY.The only Gripe i have about this tool is the bit wobble. My dewalt dcf887 has much more wobble than this but it is still very annoying and can get in the way sometimes.I bought the bare tool and barw 5AH battery. Didnt need smaller amp batteries or chargers or bag. Already have all those.

Compact
I bought one because it was small and fit in my tool box. I will leave my old one for jobs at home.I discovered that this driver has much better torque control. I have less need to finish with a manual screwdriver.

Worth it.
I wish I had purchased thos bad boy sooner. Being able to dial in the amount of torque makes all of my smaller jobs a breeze. Has plenty of power for interior trim fasteners on automobiles. I've found its limit rather quickly. Once you reach a t30 fastener on the exterior of a vehicle expect to trade out for a small impact. Paired with a 5ah 12v this tool is a mighty little addition to my toolbox.
