Just received these. I can say these are some of the best walnuts I've ever had. The price is a little higher and you get a little less product but the quality surpasses all the rest. They are worth a few dollars more! Several whole pieces throughout the bag! Great flavor!

Absolutely perfect. You get so many and they are kept fresh in the resealable bag. We usually get a whole lot of bad walnuts when we purchase them in the shell. These are fresh tasting and definitely worth the price.

I have bought raw walnut halves at my local food coop for years. As prices have kept rising (not just at the Coop but at local grocery stores also), I decided to see what I could find at Amazon. The price for the 2.5 pound bag is good and the walnuts are exceptionally fresh. I didn't know until I opened my first bag that there would be a noticible difference in quality and freshness from what I had access to locally. These are delicious.

We have been buying raw walnuts for years. This was our first walnut order from Food to Live. These are great walnuts. There are a few pieces of the wood that were not removed, but we do not mind. Much better quality than we have purchased at Whole Food or our local health food store. Delicious.

Ok - I'd give the nuts 5 stars, they were delicious, crispy and whole pieces. I did not encounter rancidity like some people, these were very fresh! Secondly, the label has country of origin to be USA.So that is the good, now the bad....These are not organic (as stated when I originally purchased them, which has been removed now!), there are no seals of such and the label does not contain the term "organic" anywhere. If you are buying them thinking they are organic (or certified), I will have to say, don't.I am into an organic diet for health reasons and bought these after seeing the word organic and discovered that they were not after receiving them. I'm attaching a picture of the label, hope this helps.

Our household tries to only buy organic products. Any one who does this understands how very expensive it can really be! This product is wonderful, tastes amazing and is a very good price. We order this about every other month sometimes more if we bake a lot, like around the holidays. I have been buying Food to live products either directly from food to live or from Amazon, whichever prices are lower. These walnuts are fresh with very good expiration date, 2.5 lbs can last for very long time.

I've had an interesting day, so far. Evidently the Fed-Ex person delivered an Amazon Prime package to my front porch. I don't know how, but evidence is that someone must have walked it in as the three inches of new snow is undisturbed. Perhaps they delivered it yesterday as it did, slightly, snow last night.In any case the corner of the package was ripped open and the contents sniffed over by either the big Black Dog that hangs around, or one of the local Bears. I suspect the Dog, but when Sara & Emily came up a couple weeks ago, Emily photographed some very large tracks in the snow.In any case, the insides of the box were undisturbed. If the Black Dog has become as smart about packages delivered as the local Bears, the Cajun Spice inside may have surprised him.  Mccormick Cajun Seasoning, Bayou, 21-Ounce The only other thing in the package was a two and a half pound bag of Walnuts. Did you know that fatty old Walnuts & Pecans are "Diet Food." Evidently the particular type of fat in nuts is the perfect fat to make your body lose weight. I'll bet Nancy (Who owns the Health Food Store) would know why. But those, and peanut butter are marvelous foods for Diabetics.But not for fat old Bears trying to hide in the Winter.

The Walnuts were fresh and tasty. The Walnuts are premium large Walnuts halves and good to eat.
