Perfection in a Dog Toy
As far as I can tell (and, of course, our dog) this ball is toy perfection.First of all, our little darling is a mini dachshund. She has had the larger version of this ball, and it has been her favorite toy for over two years. She'll play with it non-stop for hours. And when she takes a break, she'll just lay there w/ the toy in her mouth. She has no problem carrying it. She'll take it down to the lake and toss it in the water. It doesn't even sink. She'll push it down the steps. We play “fetch” w/ it, lobbing it along the concrete. NOTHING hurts this ball. I assume the small one is the same.Secondly, there is something about the sound it makes that she is addicted to, but honestly, even if it didn't make a noise, she'd still play with it. Over the last couple of years, she has learned ball control with the big one. She is good enough to play on a canine soccer team. But she couldn't play goalie, because she loves the ball so much, she never lets it go past her. Anyway, the sound. She loves the sound.Thirdly, this ball is priced very well considering how well constructed it is. Our little girl is “hell on wheels” with toys. If it has a squeaker or stuffing or a talk box, it will only last 10 minutes. This ball will last forever. For less than .25 per week, this toy is a bargain. When this came, she started crying (she's so spoiled that when a smaller Amazon box comes, she knows it's usually for her). But when she heard the sound, she went into mini dog meltdown. The noise. I can't even describe the noise. When I tossed it to her, she took off and played—by herself—for three hours. When I tried to feed her lunch, she turned up her nose. A mini dachshund turning down food?! And that is the whole review in a nutshell. This is a great toy, and I don't hesitate at all to say I confidently feel this small ball would be just fine with medium and large breeds (though not the super-duper large breeds). Like I said. Toy perfection. Ahhhhh...

Our dog loves this toy! I have to add a BUT...
I just received this this morning and already it has provided hours of fun for our pup (9 months). The sounds it makes are, well, weird enough to keep a dog interested. And despite some reviews, I don't see that the ball is made of flimsy material. The BUT is that she has chewed a hole in it. So, the ball is not as sturdy as it appears. we'll see how long it lasts with the hole.

Great distraction from playing with things not to be played with.
Too early to tell about sturdiness and durability. Jumpy the Border Collie loves the ball, however. It’s a little smaller than I expected. Still a great toy for my puppy that was beginning to wear a few teeth down picking up rocks to play with. He completely ignores the rocks now.Update: It has been several months, and the ball is still a favorite. When that rascal refuses to come when called, I shake the ball and he's right at my feet, ready to play. He's dropped it in a water basin numerous times and the ball still giggles. The smaller size is perfect, and although it is a harder material, it is holding up better than the larger wiggly giggly ball. (We've had 3 of those).

Big hit with my puppy
The media could not be loaded. My doodle is very smart and loses interest in toys quickly, always looking for a challenge. Well I think we finally found a toy that can keep her occupied! She has been chasing this this around the house for 30ish minutes now and I can see that she is becoming exhausted from it! It’s not quiet by any means, but I suppose that’s the fun of it. It’s hard to find “peace and quiet” with a 10 month old puppy in the house but this toy has at least given me the “peace” part of the equation!

Not durable, think plastic.
My dog loves this type of toy, he's has had 2 previously. I only bought him a new one because after several years it cracked. This new ball cracked and chipped in the first week and it arrived with a debt in it. My dog is only about 40 lbs and is part cocker, he does not try to chew on the ball only chase it and bark at it. I don't think I will be buying him any more of these toys.

Don't expect your dog to carry this one around
This is larger than I thought it would be. The noises it makes are enticing and fun. But our dogs cannot pick it up and carry it around. The plastic is too hard and slippery. If it was smaller, then it would probably be 5 stars. My dogs are not the kind that like to play soccer with their toys, rather they like to play with something that can be thrown and will bounce. This does neither. It is more of a soccer ball toy. The plastic is hard and when you throw it, it sounds like it might crack easily. The noises it makes are incredible and creative - I love them - my grandchildren play with it more than my dogs do! I have a lab and sheepdog. They just don't play with it. I wish they could figure out how to make a toy with these noises that was smaller for labs/sheepdogs that bounced (with more pliable rubber). This is not a paid review.

Big dogs love it
I have a pretty big dog, Belgium shepherd, she loves to play like a puppy even after 5+ years. We first bought her this ball when it was sale at target. Then after a long time it was destroyed and we couldn't find it there again. So we looked on amazon and have been buying it here since. It is a better toy for bigger dogs who love to destroy things and play roughly. We have bought it a total of 3 times in my dog's lifespan. Best toy we could hope for cause it keeps her out of trouble, gives her a lot of play time and can withstand her destruction tendacies.

Durability is a must!
This is My dogs favorite toy, she absolutely loves this ball. She's just a little 12lb dog, and watching her run around with it is hilarious. I've been looking for a sturdy toy for years. I've seen my dog tear apart toys in seconds. I have had to replace other (larger) similar balls about 1-2 times a year, but the ball takes a beating every day. I've had this ball for several months now, no problems whatsoever. I think the price is right, the size is perfect, there are similar ones out there, but being a tad smaller, it is much easier for my dog to pick up. I try not to leave it in the rain, it does hold some water that takes time to leak out. But it works no matter what! Definitely a must buy!

Very nice
My dog loves these balls I have bought 3 now in the past couple of years and at this price it is worth it. He (the dog) lives with this ball and by far his favorite toy.

My dog loves this toy.
This toy was not meant for outdoor play if you live where there is cold weather and snow in the winter. It will crack and break.

My dogs love it.
My dogs play with this ball all the time, outside or inside. Roll it..... Dont throw it. Of course plastic will eventually crack if thrown and it lands on concrete. A friend's dog didnt play with it so i guess it's a hit and miss.Mine love it.

Great Toy
My dog loves this toy and has put it down from the time we gave it to him. this is our dog's second ball and we have found it sturdy and reliable. We did find that the ball is not great when dropped down stairs which broke the first one he had.
