I run 1970's 5.7L sbc 350's in my race car. I bought these wires thinking they looked pretty good on paper, ordered some highly rated titanium thermal sleeves as well. After 6 race nights (Roughly 35 laps a night from heat to feature) we noticed a misfire. Checked connections on cap, and plugs, nothing loose. Ended up pulling a wire and sliding the sleeve off and the boot had a hole melted right on the elbow and the wire was completely exposed. Checked the rest and 5 out of 8 had a hole in the same place. We have to run stock manifolds at our track, but we still had plenty of clearance to where I don't feel this should have happened. Due to Covid we only ran a half a season, but had we not I would've been scrambling to find a better set in time to not miss a race. Instead I just bought a stock pair to get through the last race night.

These are great plug wires!The ends are firm and secure (unlike some pre-assembled sets), the boots are of the highest quality silicone.I put them on a boat with a small block Chevy motor and there was a problem with the custom set fitting my application. The company responded immediately and within two days, I had the wires I needed and was back on the water.Excellent product and excellent customer service from both Amazon and API Electronics!

This Item is really 10.2mm and the coil wire is for the HEI with the female coil. I left only three stars because the comments below the description stated that the coil wire is for a male to male coil and it was not. Asked for a replacement and also asked why it says 10.5mm when they were 10.2mm they quickly offered a refund with returned item. I just wanted thick spark plug wires so I kept them to modify the coil wire. so if your chevy has a male coil don't buy these.

Appear to be good quality. A few shorter than usual for under the exhaust plug wires.

Used the boot sleeves also and it still melted and cracked the elbow on spark plug side.

These are really nice wires. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. They stack up well compared to MSD or Moroso wires at double (or more) the cost.

Very good plug wires. Length of wires is overall good none of them are excessively to long. The cool wire is only about 12-15 inches long but overall good product.

if you have headers don't waste your money on these. the spark plug boots started to fail after less than an hours run time. you will be better off buying a high temperature set from MSD or Accell.
