horrible product. Do not buy this.The device requires you to connect to it on your mobile device using the app you need to install to manage it; However, you can not connect to the wifi it broadcasts on your phone, you can only connect via a computer when it has no data package.So here is how my experience went:day 1: received the item, downloaded the app, activated the product, could not see it on my phone. Asked a coworker to look for it on his laptop as i was relying on using this hotspot for a business trip the next day. Coworker confirmed it broadcasted so i waited until i got home and used my laptop to change the settings as suggested on a help page i found which specified explicitly it's a known problem with a work around.day 2: my free global data plan expired around the time i was ready to log into my work through it, so i tried buying a usa plan. after trying several times and not being able to work for an hour i finally got it to reset and activate on the usa esim. hotspot was ok after this point. service was passable. there were two plans, one was unlimited and one was 1gb cap. the unlimited was cheaper, and is no longer on the list when i tried to purchase it later.that was all i needed it for for my trip so i put it away and finished the weekend up.day 7: I bought the device to use as a wifi extender, so i decided to set it up in the house. I try to connect and again i can't do it through the phone. I log in to the laptop and there are no settings to make it a wifi signal extender. Now i have bought a day of data just to enable my phone to connect to it hopefully so that i can change the settings in the device, and to be honest i don't even trust the company not to use my wifi as a hotspot without my consent now. It is an incredibly shoddy product with sketchy marketing where the prices and services change.Take my advice and learn from my experience. This device relies fully on connecting to a mobile device but will not broadcast its signal to a usa mobile device by default. The product just does not work out of the box and requires work arounds to make it functional at all.

*Edit: Since I posted this review, the company has apparently decided to do away with any unlimited data packages in the US. Not really what I thought I was paying for with the whole "esim technology" gimmick. Basically, your only options at this point are to purchase the highest available data package and hope you don't burn through it, or just get a physical SIM equipped with it's own data plan. So long story short, completely useless product now. Thanks, Nommi. *Handy little product. Went to the US unlimited data package and kept adding days....obviously, the cost kept going up, but it seemed like a "bulk" discount of some sort was being applied the more days I added. Ended up paying $68.30 US for 30 days unlimited data. Not too bad, but still researching actual data plans with a physical SIM to see if the price is lower that way. With strong service, device tops out at 72 Mbps network speed. Keeps me connected to the internet without burning up all the data on my phone with decent speeds. All in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase, but once I've got a little extra throwing-around money, I may start looking around at other options with potentially higher speeds. Unless, of course, nommi is upgraded with 5G capabilities

Brought this 5 star item home. No instructions with the unit...instructions came 3 days later in an email after I had already sent the unit back.Initially, I set it up and when it came time for the unit to provide enough wifi for my streaming device, I kept getting the response, "no streaming available in your area"...lol, well, yes it is, i was just using a less expensive Verizon device and I could stream...no troubleshooting advice with package...nothing!So don't be fooled by the 5 star bull... it says you can use this all over the world....bull again...I cant even stream in a city suburb with this device..Pretty package with a bunch of promises and mo results

Not working already

Found Nommi when was looking for travel devices. Bought it right away and delivery was super fast. Instructions were very clear and I got connected right away. I appreciate the product for security and global connection.

I’ve been following these guys since their crowdfunding some time ago. I think they are cool 🙂 Nice design, affordable prices for data and I absolutely love VPN with the device. I can't wait for my next trip to try Nommi out!!

This product was horrible and never worked. I tried and several other people helped me and we never got it to work.

This product didn’t work for me. I followed instructions by returning it via Kohl’s on November 25, it still shows on its way...Ridiculously Slow!!!
