The only thing that surprised me in a good way is that this set are not a one chunk color, rather laced with black cracked effect. I do like them though. They are a true red, as apposed to a wine color. They are not to heavy and I think they look quality enough for the price.

This is just the right piece of jewelry to wear with a casual turtleneck, or out to dinner in a LBD. It can be worn with many different colors and looks especially elegant with the accompanying earrings. I would have rated it five stars, except that when it arrived, it was in pieces. Fortunately I had the right jewelry tools and findings to put it back together.

Ordered this set and wore with a black/white dress. I got complements right away. The set is just as described and doesn't look cheap. Have worn the earrings a few times since. Nice quality with the cost!

This is a beautiful necklace & earring set that arrived in perfect condition. The color looks more like lapis lazuli than turquoise and it is a deep rich blue. The earrings are comfortable to wear. I wear a lot of blue and this set will go with many of my outfits.

After purchasing the purple version of this style necklace, I decided to also get this red one. I am very happy with the purple one. On this red one, the color of the actual necklace is a bit darker than "red". It is more of a dark maroon color, to my eye. Although a little disappointed, I will still be able to wear it. This style gets lots of positive compliments and especially people being surprised at the low price for an expensive-looking piece.

If I could give this ZERO Stars, I would! This is total junk -- while it looked just like the picture, it could not have been put together more poorly if they tried intentionally! Each piece was hinged together with a single metal circle, none of which were closed completely. Two of the pieces those circles would have hinged to broke off almost immediately. Needless to say, the entire necklace fell apart within minutes.... Such a waste of money!!!
