Chi Gets Sick
It's getting a little difficult to review these books as I just keep saying the same thing. Cute, funny, great insight into the feline mind and also a look into day-to-day Japanese family life. Everybody, no matter what age, will love Chi! For all cat lovers. Chi spends time outdoors with his new friend Cocchi, gets locked out of the house over night, discovers the fun of a new pet fish, watches TV and gets sick. The absolute best part of this book is when Chi throws up; the Yamada's absolutely freak out, Chi does it more than once and the parents' reaction is hilarious. The illustration during this part just emphasizes how good Kanata is at showing emotion in her work. Loved it!

Furball Fears
Blurb:"Eventually every kitten must set fourth to mark their own trail and establish their own territory. And when that time comes, they must understand the risks that the world may present. Dealing with the elements and having to search for sources of food are keys to survival. But before embarking on such paths, many lessons must be learned. And our young furry heroine will have to overcome a harsh trial that should leave her stronger, wiser and hopefully more capable of taking on the challenges of "cat-hood"."Contents:111 - a cat tags along112 - a cat over-reaches113 - a cat is shut out114 - a cat comes back115 - a cat gives up116 - a cat observes117 - a cat is astounded118 - a cat's heart is stolen119 - a cat reaches120 - a cat misunderstands121 - a cat is cheesed122 - a cat feels a presence123 - a cat senses an anomaly124 - a cat takes shelter from the rain125 - a cat goes halves126 - a cat has an emergency127 - a cat vomits128 - a cat hangs in therenews specialAdditional Information:In this volume we are treated to another news special. This one is a 5 page segment on "Chi goes global". Showing fans and photos of Chi from all over the world. This is also linked to a special product originating in Japan, the "postal Chi toy". Included in this blue postal box was a little stuffed toy of Chi wearing a postie style hat and some postcards with photos of Chi in various locations. It was up to whoever bought Chi to take a photo of her in a famous location near their home, to show just how well travelled she is! There are also messages from fans around the world explaining why they love this manga and how popular it is in their country- and if so then why.Volume 7 of Chi's Sweet Home sees Chi, along with her new "frenemy" Cocchi getting to know one another. Everyone around Chi is telling her she's a cat, but she refuses to accept it. In her mind, she is no different than the humans who have become her family. Chi goes through some trials in this volume which leave her disorientated, drenched, and - as always- hungry! But she has plenty of support from felines and humans alike. The manga is in full colour, and at this point I'm willing to bet you're as hooked as I am. If I were you, I'd snag this book with all the speed of a cheetah! It is a charming tale of a sweet but mischievous kitten that will have you demanding more! You can also buy Volume 8 NOW!! Chi's Sweet Home, Volume 8
