Sturdy, beautiful, well made, worth the price

UPDATE: It's been 5 years since I purchased this set and I still love it as much as I did when I got it. I did not get the full size broom for our anniversary as I'd hoped. Instead, I got a stupid platinum ring with diamonds. It's a wonder that I decided to stick around for our 40th, but I don't have the time or energy to train a new one. *wink*LOVE IT! I waited months for this to come back in stock here at Amazon so I could buy it- and it was worth the wait. It is high quality construction with high quality materials, making for a product that works as well as it should and will last a good long while. I do not expect to need another dustpan & hand broom in my lifetime. After having used this, I imagine my next big splurge is going to be on a full sized broom of this build quality. I might even ask my husband to get this for us (me) for our wedding anniversary since it is the next gift giving occasion on our calendar. After all, isn't "Horse" the traditional gift for 39 years of marriage?

Bought it to have something attractive hanging by my fireplace. It does the job of sweeping ashes, but frankly a cheap plastic version did better. The handle is a nice length for sweeping up debris on the floors, but not great for angling it around inside a fireplace. The brush is gorgeous, so soft. But it turns out that a cheap plastic fiber brush works better for my purposes -- that static-electric charge that plastic generates works in your favor for attracting and holding onto pet hair and dust. The lack of static is listed as a selling point for this brush; who knew it was actually a good thing to have. Still, it's a beautiful set, and not sorry I bought it.

These are such high quality they may last my entire lifetime, and then hand them down to my children.

This is a stunning Dust pan. If there was a Rolls Royce of dust pans this would be it! The brush is beautifully made with dense soft bristles that are able to pick up even the finest dust. The dust pan has a longer handle than most so it requires less bending over to reach the floor. This is far superior to any comparable american made product. I can't recommend it highly enough. This would be a fantastic house warming gift for a good friend. I've received lots of compliments and questions about this unusually high quality dust pan set.

I have many Burstenhaus Redeemer brushes already and so when we needed a broom and dust pan I knew this was the best option. Our home is very small (500 sq ft) and I wanted a broom that was small, stylish, yet high quality to sweep up spills that our Dyson slim vacuum can't get, like broken glass. It has worked great for us and it actually does sweep up heavy debris, like glass. This is very well made and will likely last us a lifetime. I highly recommend this dust pan/brush set!

This dust pan and brush are great. I'm using them for my fireplace. The large pan is perfect for the fireplace ashes and better than the typical size that comes with a fireplace tool set. It also is more discret and looks more appealing than the traditional fireplace tools sets with the stand etc. The quality is fantastic. The price is reasonable. The item shipped quickly. Much smaller than expected ; not for garden use it's just way to small, brush is made of horse hair but very soft flexible not the one you might expect. Brush is maybe 12in long like described but actually horse hair part is only 8in about so tiny for cleaning large area, it's great for a kitchen but costly for that type of use.I thought this was a heavy duty for house and garden.Quality is good but can it handle lots of work I doubt the metal grasp on handle of the pan are too small to handle heavy duty, I won't be on it to not fall apart.
