Great tape for BJJ
I read on some sports medicine websites that Mueller athletic tape is the best. I bought it for Jiu Jitsu and it works great. It has the perfect balance of features: It is strong, but you can still rip it with your fingers. It is sticky enough that it holds in place without sliding--even when sweaty, but not so sticky that you can't get it off. It doesn't have much stretch, but if you put it on tight it will loosen up just enough to be comfortable. I have use it on sprained fingers, ripped cuticles, and on cuts, scrapes and mat burn. This stuff worked great for all those uses. It doesn't seem to stick to wounds, but for larger wounds or mat burn I put a band aid on first. I can drill and roll for two hours and this stuff works the whole time and doesn't come off. It can be a little hard to find the end to unravel it: It all sort of blends together, but at least it doesn't unravel by itself. I also like the texture. When it is on your fingers it is just as grippy as skin. Some tapes are slippery and others have too much grip and get caught. This is perfect. It is the best tape I have used.

Really stays in place
When the tape came in the mail I had doubts it would stick well, it just seemed that way. I was so wrong, this sticks where ever you put it. We use it for my granddaughters gymnastics programs and practices just love it.

Great rock climbing tape!
Love the tape! I use it for rock climbing and it’s perfect. I wrap up any caluses that are about to tear off or ones that do. The tape sticks enough to be secure but the adhesive isn’t so intense that it clings to your skin when you go to take it off (super important if you don’t want a flap of skin to peel with it!)

NOT EURO-TAPE
I was expecting this Mueller Athletic Tape to be their Euro-Tape, and it most certainly is not. The fabric is thin, soft, and week, and the adhesion barely exists. Euro-Tape is thick and strong with an extreme stickiness. This tape turned to cotton fluff on my fingers with little use and started unravelling (un-sticking) even before being put into action. Terrible, terrible athletic tape (Johnson and Johnson is much better) and certainly no Euro Tape.

Not good for climbing (finger tape)
I typically use this to wrap my fingers before climbing/bouldering. The tape reduces the shear on my skin's surface and helps to prevent blisters from forming and popping as I climb. Unfortunately, the tape bunches up quite easily; this reduces its ability to protect my fingers substantially. If used for something that involves a little less direct and repeated shear, I'd probably recommend it; unfortunately, that is not the case for me.

We are snowed in up here and it was a good hike to get the package left by UPS
Not sure what the problem is with this tape ??? It has either been in the sun, and got too hot or it is just too old. I unrolled about 2" off one roll to check it out for strength and bonding ability. I wrapped one of my fingers and left it on to see if it would stick. I have an old roll of athletic I have had for years, its almost gone. This new tape I just purchased looked the same as my old roll. When I attempted to remove the 2" piece I had wrapped my finger, the nightmare began. The cloth part of the tape came off and left all the adhesive on my finger. To make a long story shorter, I had to go downstairs to the garage and get lacquer thinner and a green scotch scrubber and worked for quite a time and finally got it off my finger, yes, your right, I was really pissed to say the least. That is not the end of the story, the lacquer thinner dissolved the adhesive in time, and so the adhesive was on my hands in between my fingers. I finally used Fast Orange and numerous swear words before I finished. We are snowed in up here and it was a good hike to get the package left by UPS. I am 76 years old and could continue this story and even send video if you desire. Jack

Really good tape. Easy to tear across and lengthwise for when you inevitably get some weird injury that requires a tape job more elaborate than the inner workings of an analog watch.
