I recommend it to any violin or fiddle player
I have been using Magic Rosin for about three years now. I perform with an Old Time Fiddle Band three to five times weekly. The Magic Rosin works well for me in all types of Idaho weather. I recommend it to any violin or fiddle player.

Great
Students love this rosin, I like it as well. Tone quality depends on so much, I like that it isn't a fussy rosin. I pulls a clean sound.

What are they selling? Art packaging, or high quality rosin? Maybe both, but there are better rosins out there.
I feel I am paying more for gimmicks and art work with Magic brand rosin, than I am Rosin. It is made by a graduate of Julliard. Whoopty doo! At least 3 members of my family have lived at the same time as me, and they all graduated from Julliard too. One of them could not play Jingle Bells without the sheet music. I'd seriously advise buying blemished cakes direct from Magic, if you actually like this rosin. It only comes in two formulas, but you can buy any one of dozens of package designs. Our shops have been handling rosin for over 95 years now. I have some truly great rosins stashed away for "special customers". This rosin is not among them. It is a very grippy, low dust producing rosin, but it can be a tad soft in extremely hot weather. It also has a tendency to shatter in transit when checked with baggage & allowed to sit in extreme cold. I have blended my own rosins from mostly pine pitch, and blended it with other tree saps, and not the usual, that I am aware of, anyway. Like any rosin, you want to get all of it cleaned off the strings & the instrument ASAP. There are terpins in the rosin that will damage the finish, and acids in the terpins that will eat up the winding on the strings.
