Safety, secure and excellent length
Although we only have Yorkies they love to run. In our parks they must remain on leads. This lead gives them plenty of lead to run on as well as I'm still in control of their security. Tough lead. Good lock. Have 2 of these leads. Brilliant.

Watch for puppy teeth
This is fabulous when I take my 2 dogs out. My 11 year old not worries. I’ve had to makeshift when my 7 month old nibbles through the fabric at the end, my bad one of the ‘oldies’ stopped for a chat

Not worth buying
Although a good length and strong lead the mechanism in the wind back is poorly made. Noticed it was slow at pulling back from the beginning, but then within 3 months the insides have collapsed and it is now only worth dumping. Dog is a miniature schnauzer, so the lead never got pulled that hard. Useless

Just what we needed.
This is a great extending lead for our pup. Let's him run without us getting tangled in a longline.

Ratchet dog lead
This is in some ways an excellent lead in the it is long and strong, the string rather than tape is les prone to moisture/mud absorption and presumably allows for the greater length. As it is used with a larger dog the pull is at times significant and even though one tries to avoid locking as it is running out, there are times when as you are locking, the dog will lunge. This causes the lock to rub on the locking ribs and almost immediately wears the lock out. then suddenly it stopped recoiling ( less than 2 months old!) The spring had brokenBought a second and within a month the coil spring broke. Sadly not as robust as it suggests
