Good SMALL light
The media could not be loaded. So this light is very bright for it being so small. The housing itself is only about 6 inches wide. The solar panel is small too. When I received the light, I opened the box and the light was on already. I took the panel outside to charge the batteries (they are located in the panel, not the light). Gave it a full charge and that evening put it in my shed with the panel to see how it works. I was hanging the light and it went on then off then on and off while trying to hang this. I figured I had a broken wire. Once it was on, I had my wife use the remote (you need to install 2 AAA batteries) and she was able to turn it off and back on. So I continued to hang it but it wouldn't go on. Then I put the panel against the roof temporarily and it worked again. I was happy. Its bright enough to light up your shed but you need to mount it high up to light gets dispersed better. I mounted the remote to the inside of the shed when you open the door but the remote needs to point to the light for it to work. The next day I mounted the panel outside of the shed and it recieved plenty of sunshine all day. That evening around 8 PM (still a bit of light outside but dark in the shed) I went to turn on the light and it didn't work. Figured it must be on a photocell (when it's dark enough out, the light goes on) Bummed out, I waited until it was about 9:30 PM and completely dark outside. Wouldn't you know it the light worked. Then I realized that the photocell is on the solar panel. So if there's still sunlight still outside, your light inside will not work until its dark enough. Tyring to see if I can cover this up. This is the only negative about the product. I didn't see it in the description but it is in the instructions that there is a photocell. It's not for you if you want to turn on the light while its evening out. I still like the amount of light this can put out and it was inexpensive so worth the shot.

Good but doesn't turn on unless it is dark out
I got this for my shed since every once in a while we get into it during dusk. I was all excited and got it installed. What I failed to do was read to ensure it turns on at will. It does not. It has to be dark before it will work. Any any light keeps it from turning on. The sensor is on the panels.

Needs a manual switch
Works well, long lasting but needs a manual switch. You loose the remote you are done for. Sometimes remote does not work.

Get's pretty bright at night
I had just received this product. I ordered two and am glad that I did. I was expecting the product to be bigger than what it showed up as. That was not much of an issue. The light brightens up pretty good. One thing that was strange was that the lights just come on when it gets dark by themselves. I don't know what sets it off, because no one would be either in the tents or rooms when they come on. The only common denominator is it gets dark. I didn't notice any of the "motion sensor" detecting when someone walks in the area of the lights. They have not proven to come on based on "motion sensing". I haven't seen that feature functioning. The light is very responsive to the remote control and it works as a basis IR controllers generally does. I have updated my review after a month here. The tricky part is that the light will not come on with the remote, "before" it gets dark. I don't know if it is linked to possibly the sensor that must be on the "solar panel", but it will not come on without it being I guess on the solar sensor making it happen. Since I bought two of these at the same time, I was able to check them against each other to "prove" that it is will not come on until "it" decides that it is dark enough. Or it will come on by itself. Both of them do the same thing, even in different rooms. Other than that, it brightens up well.

Kinda Love this Little Light but some flaws
Its much smaller than I anticipated, but like most of the reviews, it seems like it will be adequate enough for my chicken coop. I charged it up the first day and put it in the shed that evening but did not mount yet. There was a storm so I'll get to it this weekend. The problem I am having is with the remote. It isn't consistant in working so I am going to contact the seller. I don't know how much I will even use it, but I believe I need it to work as I set up the automatic shut off time. That is a feature that is pretty important to me and the chicks! I wish you could set it to come on JUST BEFORE DARK/DUSK when they want to wander in and get settled, but it seems like this light is not going to come on until it is completely DARK as detected by the solar panel. By then, they will hopefully have stumbled their way into their coop. The light will eventually come on and they can get resettled or hang out a bit and the light will go out a couple hours later which may help with egg production. So if you are looking to control the timing, this won't really work for you. If you are looking for the solar power and also portability. This is a great little light. Super lightweight and I could see why people would use it for power outages and camping. The shade is little, but nice looking and better than a bare bulb. I hope this helps in your decision making.
