A great little handheld
I just received this yesterday so my experience with this little console is thus limited. But so far I really like it. As other online reviews state, the build quality is excellent - it feels very sturdy and all buttons and joysticks are a pleasure to use.I was a little confused about the operation at first (but I’m 62 years old). On boot up you’ll note a row of icons at the top of the screen, on a dark background. These include applications, emulators, games (just some generic knockoff ones) and settings. On mine, the applications icon is highlighted at first. One cycles through the row of icons using the L and R shoulder buttons. Pressing the R shoulder button highlights the emulators icon, and below are the icons from which one selects an emulator. Here is where all the real games are found. My RG350 came with a microSD card containing 2500 games.Emulators are programs that tell the RG350 how to behave like many different retro video game consoles. Available options include:XMAME v1.3: did nothing on my machineDosBox-RG350 : a DOS emulatorFBA : an arcade machine emulatorFceux: an NES/Famicom emulatorGambatte: a Gameboy emulatorGambatte (again!): a Gameboy Color emulatorGenesis Plus GX: a Sega Genesis/Megadrive emulator (I think)OpenBOR: another arcade machine emulator (?)Oswan: a Wonderswan emulatorPcsx4all - RG350: a Sony PSX (PS1) emulatorPicodrive: another megadrive/Genesis emulatorPocketSNES: a Super NES emulatorRace: a NeoGeo Pocket emulatorReGBA: a Gameboy Advance emulatorSnes9x 1.60: another Super NES emulatorTemper: a PC Engine (TurboGrafx) emulatorgngeo: a NeoGeo emulatormame4all: another arcade machine emulatorSelect an emulator by cursoring to the desired one and then press the A button to start it. You should be presented with a list of available games. Select one, press A, and enjoy. If you’re NOT presented with a list of games you’ll probably see a list of folders. Try selecting the DOS emulator to see this list. The folders are named with abbreviations of each console. You’ll have to figure out which folder goes with the emulator you chose. Cursoring to the appropriate one and pressing A will then call up the game list. Be sure you bought a version of the RG350 that comes with games. If you don’t you’ll have to seek out game ROMs and install them yourselves - google RG350 and you’ll find explanatory YouTube videos. Anyhow, after viewing the list of available games, if you want to select a different emulator, press start to exit back to the emulator home screen. To exit a game, the different emulators require various key presses. In general, holding the start and select buttons down simultaneously will call up a menu from which you can choose quit or exit. For a comprehensive list of exit key presses, google RG350 and look for articles from Wagner’s Tech Talk.Hope this helps someone and Happy New Year!

Excellent for the price, WAY less of a headache than raspberry pi.
Very nice little device. Everything I tested works so far. Sound is excellent. Good, but slightly disorganized assortment of games included. Emulators do not have consistent menu buttons, but they all seem to work well. Includes SNES, PSX, and Genesis, which was all I cared about. Plenty of others.

Well Built Device
I'm surprised on how well the build quality and how sturdy it is! Played even all the PS1 games I could throw at it with the stock firmware. It's very easy to install custom firmware and an easy ecosystem built for easy open homebrew and app development which is nice. The console even comes with testing apps for testing all the buttons, the screen, and speakers which is a great touch! The screen is a nice panel and has decent viewing angles which is surprising. The one issue I have though is that it's a bit too small because when gaming for long sessions my hands get cramped and start to hurt which is unfortunate. My hands aren't even all that big and are average size. Other than that for $80, this is an amazing device!

The best retro game machine of my life.
Holy moly This came with so many games. It had almost all the GameBoy advance games on it when I got it. It had so many games, play station on down. I bought an SD card off of Etsy. I have nails over 16,000 games on it. I am a kid in a candy store. This is the greatest retro machine of my lifetime. Buy it If you love retro games.

Whatttttt the whattt!!!! Instructions please!!!!
I got this system because I didn’t want to spend $300+ on the switch system for my first time 7 yr user. Let’s start by saying when I got the instructions out it was so small I had to use my camera light to read it. The instructions were so vague that I was lost. My son has never played video games and wanted to play super Mario brothers. The game comes installed with classic 16 games already installed, none of them that I’ve ever heard of. So don’t go in thinking that all the games are built into this system...THEY ARE NOT!!!! Again the instructions are vague and couldn’t figure out how to download super Mario brothers. Went on YouTube..... didn’t understand it. Ask my 20 yr old step son he couldn’t figure it out! Called amazon ... they were probably doing the same thing by looking on YouTube also cause I was on hold for 20 mins. Finally found a YouTube site that explained it which seemed like you had to jump through fire (it seemed at the time.... but patience was very thin at this point) to install. Let’s just say I printed out my amazon return slip and dropped it off at ups the next day.The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the screen on this hand held is great. In my opinion there are way to many buttons. I grew up on the original Xbox Halo generation....lol..... back when things weren’t this complicated 🤣🤣🤣

Great retro gaming in the palm of your hand!
Works great! It is a little odd doing trial and error to figure out key combinations both in the main screens (looking at you setting clock and date!), but nothing super impossible.I will add two things:First, I had to go into the manager (on the device) and access the SD before the game would show up in the emulators.Second, make sure your using the right emulator for the game your trying to load, especially with reference to the MAMEs.All in all this is an excellent package for retro gaming in the palm of your hand!

Awesome little machine
Initial experience, Ive never been so excited to get a product as this one in my life! The shipping was faster than said, supposed to get here on Friday night, got here Wednesday lunch. For a retrogame emulator it feels well constructed. The device looks amazing as the picture. And many reviewers on youtube found that the right analogue stick is a little uncomfortable, but I also have large hands and I font find it to be on the way, and I thought the L2 and R2 buttons where going to be a hassle to hit but they are really comfy. Will update as a play with it but I'am already in love with this.
