COMFORTABLE SHAVE IS BACK!!
I had another Remington foil shaver but the replacement blades were getting hard to find and expensive. They also were of substandard quality and arrived dull on arrival. I chucked the entire shaver. After reading reviews, I gave this one a try and boy, am I glad I did. It gives a comfortable shave, holds a charge, and cleans very easily. You just rinse it off and let it dry before using again. The shave is close enough for me but I'm certain not as close as a blade shave. But I'm semi-retired and do not need a close shave anymore. I just want to be presentable. I was skeptical at first because it was selling for quite a bit less than my old one. But it is NOT cheap and it is built well. The only issue I have is with the trimmer. It's a bit brutal in tender places and doesn't do as good of a job on sideburns, etc. I mean, it works, but pinches a little here and there. My old one was better in that respect, but not worth keeping around just for that feature. Norelco, as usual, gives a joke-of-a-shave and I had to send one of those back. Who has time to go over and over an area only to find that it's never a close enough shave no matter how many times you do it? Best of all, replacement blades are readily available at a great price. However, until I need one, buy it, and use it, I cannot report on the quality of the replacement units. But if they are anywhere near the originals on this shaver, I'll be happy.

It Took a Long Trip to My Address, But Was Worth the Wait
I first received the Remington PF 7400 as a warranty settlement from Remington. I was dubious about the shaver at first, but then I tried it and I can say I have never had a close shave as I got from the PF 7400. I use the PF 7400 in my office as I come in very early and leave very late. In the meantime, my home use shaver, an old Remington DA 307a, died of old age [10-155 years], so I needed a new shaver for home use. I surveyed the Remington lineup and found that the PF 7500 had the best performance endurance as it is equipped with a Li-ION battery vice an NiMH battery in the PF 7400. So I purchased it. Let me say this, Amazon Customer Service is deserving of FIVE STARS alone for their keeping me in the information loop concerning my purchase shipment. The package made a world tour; first going to the Far East, then North Africa, and to the Middle East before arriving at my APO address. The package arrived in excellent condition despite the long detour. I was at first a bit disappointed in the PF 7500 as it had a few quality control concerns [easy fixes]. Once I corrected the problems, the PF 7500 performed like a Swiss watch. The 'millions of tiny hears' all over my face were completely removed with no burns, stubble, rough spots of other problems. The shaver is quiet compared to the old Remington and very easy to clean. I do not use water but an old toothbrush [never use a new one, bristles are too stiff] for cleaning. I have read the reviews and all I have to say is to follow recommended instructions, you will have no problem. I have owned and used Remington shavers since 1962, when I inherited the old Remington from my Dad [he got a new one]. Over the years I have used Sunbeam, Ronson, Braun, Norelco and others, but never had the close shave or comfort as I did from Remington. Remington has the potential to have another classic [like the DA 307] on their hands, don't change it! Improve on it but don't change it. I highly recommend it!

Worth the money- but has some shortcomings
tl;dr review:- plastic holding foils is thin/fragile, it will likely break if you drop the razor- motor is underpowered and takes a long time to shave the chin if your beard grows thick and strong- battery life is quite good, you can get 5-6 shaves out of it easily. Haven't run the battery down yet more than that to know when it quits.- shave is pretty darn good if you're patientFull review:On the first day, I hated this thing. My old razor had finally given up the ghost after 10+ years while on vacation so I got this one. Where my old razor was gripped by the sides, this one's grip points are front/back (dorsal/ventral). The sides where I was holding it (stupidly from habit) are slick, so I dropped it on the first use onto a thin rug on a hardwood floor. Every removable piece flew off and the removable plastic piece that holds the foils broke in three places (the piece you pull off the razor to clean it after shaving). The plastic is VERY thin and quite fragile to break in three places when dropped on a rug- not concrete or stone or something. Some superglue and 24 hours returned it to strong as new (not saying a lot apparently). I've been worried about it breaking while tapping it clean so I'm pretty gentle with it.Motor has sufficient power to shave most of my face/neck, but if your chin stubble is dense and strong like mine, this thing kinda struggles with it. You have to keep moving it and it'll take a tiny bit at a time. With some patience though it'll eventually get through it.Overall the end result is a good shave, and I imagine someone with softer/finer beard hair wouldn't have any issue with motor power.Another positive is the battery life is quite good. I've gotten 5-6 shaves out of it a couple times before remembering to charge it and saw no degradation in performance, so no idea how long it can really go. But I travel fairly regularly so it's nice to know when traveling for less than a week that I don't need to bother packing the charger (small as it is).It also has a very small plastic piece that works as a stand/cover. It's nice because you can leave it on the sink without it taking up a ton of space. The only downside is if you pack it in a bag as a cover to protect the foil- it'll probably fall off because the "feet" stick out.In the end, though I started off hating this thing because I felt like it broke too easily on the first day, I'd say it's worth the money and not a bad buy if you want to get a good shave and not spend several to many times the money to do it. Just be careful not to drop it (hold it right for starters) and be prepared to take a while on your chin if your beard is strong/dense.
