Love it!
Fits great in my fridge. A good size for storing cold brew or iced tea. The glass bottle is well made.

Perfect for 3 LARGE cups of Coffee
When I make my coffee, I make four large mugfuls at a time. I do not mind that it sits in the fridge for a few days. As I fill my mug, each fill is approximately 14 ounces. After the first mug, I have three left to store. This container DOES hold 41 ounces if filled to the brim. It is perfect for my purpose! I've tried other brands and found them to be too small, too fragile or have a horrible cap.I do have a couple of complaints that are reflected in my star ratings: The spout is poorly shaped. It actually takes practice to pour without the liquid running down the side and all over the place. The handle is not at all ergonomic and a bit uncomfortable. Finally, the whole thing is VERY HEAVY glass; probably unnecessarily heavy. I was washing one of the two that I bought through Amazon and dropped it no more than 2 inches in the sink. The spout hit first and broke!Be warned: Amazon does not use uniform packaging. Sometimes they ship this HEAVY GLASS with ZERO protection. Combine that with delivery personnel who THROW the packages onto my porch ... my first order arrived as glass shards. One of the best features is the closure cap. It appears to fit well but is not overly difficult to remove. Finally, the jug comes with a sticker on it that includes bar codes and an internet address for the company. It ALSO includes a PICTOGRAM that is tiny. I am including a photo of it because I want to know what it is SUPPOSED to be telling me. Even magnified, I only think I understand part of it and have no comprehension of the third image. I wrote to the company but they have NOT answered. I THINK the first two images say to wash the jug after unpacking. I'm going to ask this question through the Amazon ad. If ANYONE can tell me what the far right image means, I would be grateful. I am VERY curious!

8 Years Later and Still Going Strong
I bought this eight years ago when I was in college for making cold brew coffee; it's been seven years since I graduated and it's still going strong. It's survived two cross country moves, two interstate moves, and three local moves (and being dropped on the ground a handful of times.) It still takes weekly beatings making iced coffee without any threat of succumbing to temperature shock. It's lid has held up, despite the near-constant use, but I do hand-wash it. It was sort of my first "grown-up" purchase, and it's still something I just love and makes me happy to have. Would recommend.

I really love this pitcher and use it daily to hold iced herbal tea. It's a nice-looking design, the perfect size for my needs (holds a quart with a few ounces extra room), and seems heavy/thick enough to be sturdy when banging against stuff in the door of the fridge or in the dishwasher. You can't really pour well with the lid on but I don't care, I just take the lid off. It is not completely air-tight if that's what you're looking for.

Made in Italy. not well designed.
Perfect siz but not well designed! However, the water does leak while I'm pouring water, just like other comments said.

How to avoid the drips + comparison with hermetic version and 68 oz version
This is a very nice, thick glass pitcher that feels very solid. Several reviewers mention dribbling / dripping. The trick is to a) take the lid all the way off before pouring and b) fill up to only an inch or two from the top rather that filling it completely full. I purchased three different Bormioli Rocco items at the same time; this one, the "Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Jug with Hermetic Lid, 1 Liter" and the "Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Glass Pitcher with Lid, 68 Ounce". Here’s some comparisons that might help others. In comparison with the Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Jug with Hermetic Lid, 1 LiterThe lids are where the differences lie - this one pops on and off very easily and twists to create a gap. (but, per above, I suggest you remove it rather than twist because the opening is not large enough for it to pour properly, so you get a mess if you use it.)The hermetic lid has to be removed completely to pour at all. To seal it, you place the lid on top, then twist the middle portion within the top of the lid to seal it. That lid does provide a very nice tight seal. This one is easier & quicker to use. That one is preferred where a strong seal is wanted. I like this one for water or juice, the other for left-over home-made hot cocoa. For some liquids, I will note you can get build-up on the lip that can dry outside the seal, so you might want to get a damp clean paper towel to give it a quick swipe before putting it away to avoid, er, gunk.)I'm not sure why this is listed as 41 oz and the 1 Liter Hermetic claims 39 oz because the glass portion appear to be identical in size and shape. The spouts are identical. The only difference is this glass has raised decorative lines and the other does not.In comparison with the 68 oz Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre PitcherThe 68 oz version is roughly two inches shorter than this pitcher. It is also about two inches larger width & breadth. The opening at the top is about an inch wider. This one has the same style hermetic lid as the other one, just with a larger diameter. Like the others, the glass feels thick and solid. Because it is so stout the center of gravity is low and if you were to push it at the very top, it would be more likely to slide than to fall over. The 68 oz is a better choice if you have less height in your shelf but the tradeoff is for crowded shelves it has a wider footprint. I'd rather have two of the taller 1-liter sizes on my top shelf because I get more height for about the same footprint and I can arrange that same footprint more flexiblly. While I haven’t done it, you could use this to store thicker liquids or even something like a chunky soup because the opening is wide enough for a serving spoon or a hand. (But as other reviewers have noted, you wouldn’t want to introduce large temperature differences as it isn’t tempered glass.)When full, this tends to be heavy enough you really need both hands to use it comfortably.

Solid little pitcher
I love this and use it all the time. I had a similar one I found at a thrift store. Great for home made almond milk, or to steep tea. This one has a lid which is a lovely bonus

Exceptional Product
Attractive, compact and functions well. Easy to put into the dishwasher. Pours well without lids, so I eliminated them even though they function well. Less fuss for me. Very pleased I got these 2 sturdy pieces. Beautiful design!

Great little jug!
I purchase the 4 litre jug of milk. I fill the glass jug and keep the other container in the spare fridge. This jug is the perfect size. My only complaint is that it drips, otherwise I’d have given it 5 stars.

Very nice little jug.
It's very light and easy to hold and pour. I use it to refill my Keurig, it's the perfect size. It also looks really nice and was a good price.

Cramped
The lid does not seal so it leaks, the handle is too close and hard to get a grip on it if you have larger hands. It is easy to clean by putting it in the dishwasher. I use it for milk. If washing by hand, a bottle brush would have to be used.
