Confusing Examples
The contents and vocabulary of the book are really good as it introduces really important information early in the book, the only problem is that the examples are really confusing on how to do them. There is Example#2 part 1 part 2, and then you get all mixed up because there are numbers all over the place. But if you get the hang of the examples, it is a really complete book for absolute beginners.

Content is great and is helping me along my journey to learning ...
The book itself is falling apart on me, but that is probably due to over-use! Content is great and is helping me along my journey to learning Japanese, thanks!

Great first book for Japanese learning!
My daughter's Japanese instructor used this book with her as a beginner, and it gave her a great base of vocabulary and grammar to build on. Very easy to understand.

Good for people who have teachers
I am currently using Japanese for young people. I used to use Japanese for Busy people (that was what the school used) but now that I have a tutor, I can use any book. Japanese for busy people is for business people and fill in the blank while Japanese for Young People is more school related, has more exercises, and forces you to think and memorize the vocabulary.

A good choice
A good textbook for young beginners. Contains nice illustrations and a big amount of material dealing with communication, though, as for me, the grammar part is quite small

Great
Excellent, defiantly recomend for any learner of Japanese. Delivery was quick aswell as the packaging. The actual book is great however it does force you to learn Hiragana right off the start as after a few pages all romaji stops. However Hiragana is the easiest so it wont take you more then a couple weeks after that Id recomend to learn katakana and practice each all the time as youd forget as I had in the beginning ^-^The only negative is that the front page was stuck to the second page therefore caused some creasing however I have seperated them now.

As it says, good for kids!
The layout and extra colour, when compared to the adult books, really does make it more appealing for young learners, so for young people it is worth getting this version rather than the regular adults version.
