Grande Girolle Cheese & Chocolate Curler with Dome Lid Included

This is a great product, actually because it is not too large. It accommodates a medium size round cheese. Nd the cutting mechNism is able to come into position for any height round. It is attractive enough for a party setting. I reccommend it!!

This is a very lousy product. Instead of precision stainless steel on steel. it has plastic bushings that make it very sloppy. Nothing is stabled because of the play it creates. I have to admit that, been from Switzerland, where the original GIROLLE was created and where I bought one before coming to the US, I am in a very good position to compare this product that I just bought. I noticed that this one was made in CHINA, but I am not blaming that country. It just that it's a far cry from the Swiss made one.

The plastic cover is very cheap, and the screw linking the axis to the board was damaged. I had to go find a different one at the hardware store. Suck for something new. Once assembled, works as expected.

Looks way better in the picture. Cheaply made. Huge scratch on it and I haven't taken it out of the plastic wrap yet. Sadly disappointed.

We have two other cheese curlers. This curler is inferior. The center rod is crooked and can not be completely tightened. The rotating cutter has two bushings/shims that tend to fall out. The other curlers we have do not have the bushings/shims and work much better.Overall this is a very poorly made product that is clearly inferior from the others on the market that we have.

I took this to several holiday gatherings. It works really well for cheese. Everyone loved it!

This was a great purchase, I use it for P'tit Basque cheese, and it makes very nicely shaped rosettes of cheese every time. The construction is very solid and it holds the cheese wheel firmly in place on the bottom with 4 strips of metal that cut into the bottom of the wheel.

i used this product to go through one standard 800 g wheel of tete de mojne cheese and it broke. i have used these machines hundreds of times and this is by far the cheapest piece of crap in its category, but priced like a normal one so i didn't now until I used it.
