Wanyama / Animals: Learning Swahili Is Fun! (Swahili Edition)

I bought this book for my 6 month old son, whose mother is Tanzanian, to help him learn Swahili as he grows. The production quality is very good. The book covers a wide range of different animals, giving the Swahili and English words for them, along with adorable illustrations. My son is too young to actually learn specific words, but he loves the drawings and that keeps his attention while I expose him to the sounds of swahili. Once he's older I know he'll love learning the names of the animals in both languages. I highly recommend this book and hope you will support the author! My daughter has learned half of the animals already-she only got it for Christmas! It is a very child friendly book with 4 animals on each page which makes it easy to chunk for learning. It also includes the numbers to 20 in Swahili which is an added bonus. Highly recommend it for any age group trying to learn Swahili.

My 19 month old enjoys this book and it is soo colorful. The animals are named in both Swahili and English thus making it easy to teach.Olemo

I especially like the activity pages in the back of the book to test your knowledge.

While the content is good, i was surprised by the thin paper cover and few pages in the book.Would not have purchased this had I know….
