As someone who has gone Paleo on a budget, this tool has been a real game changer. Grass-fed, grass-finished beef is astronomically expensive for a family of four; this tenderizer makes the cheaper cuts of meat soft and yummy, and because it flattens the meat into pieces that are much bigger than they appear to be pre-tenderizing, the beef goes much farther, satisfying us each with less. The email tips for use by the seller are a nice touch, and we are very happy with this purchase.

I just recently received this in the mail and it is made of high quality heavy material. What is pictured is what you get. The one thing I can see being a possible issue is the distance between the head and the handle is short - when holding the handle with the head flat on a counter my hand hits the surface of the counter.

After years of a wooden mallet whose head kept falling off, I splurged on this one. I use it more to flatten chicken breasts than to tenderize anything and this unit is great. I love the heft and the ease of cleaning.

This is an excellent tenderizer. High quality product that is well balanced and comfotable to use. Very solid with a good weight.
