710-111-102 Secret Weapon Air Filter

On the Veloster Turbo, aftermarket air intakes are surprisingly loud, and can be described as, "an asthmatic Darth Vader trying to drink a Slurpee through a straw". I purchased this filter to determine how much of the noise was from trying to pull an inordinate amount of air through a typical paper filter. While this filter did cut some of the noise, it seems the majority is caused by other factors.That said, this filter did an excellent job during my testing. It cut the sound from the intake more than any other filter I tested. It was very well built, and fit perfectly for my application. When cleaning, it was apparent that the filter did a great job of preventing debris from entering my intake. It was easy to clean, and should last quite a long time with proper maintenance.

Because I have pretty high standards for services and products, I usually pass on leaving reviews unless something really good or really bad occurs. Luckily, this is one of the good ones. I should also mention that having run their Dragon series filters in other cars for years, I had pretty high expectations for a new Weapon-R product.The intake is better than expected in every way. Less expensive than others, ready to run (no oiling needed), easy to install (the coupler is a bit stretchy so that unlikely intake part combinations fit together), well made (tough plastic frame and grid protection for foam element) and most importantly, flows much better than stock/other aftermarket filter. After ECU reset, 2nd and 3rd gear pulls were much improved; seems quite a bit stronger lower in the range too. Nice.Service was way better than expected. Delivery was very fast, and my question about the intake was answered by 'Jon' completely and quickly. Hard to ask for more from an inexpensive transaction.Amazon tends to attract strong vendors, but as mentioned above, a good transaction is simply 'to be expected.' Performance takes a good product and a 'good' transaction and kicks it up a notch.

It went right into my vehicle because I had a weapon R breather already. Great hp and fuel consumption

prefect replacement for my older weapon-r intake. I know you can wash it, but after few years of use you may want to replace it.

Awesome air filter! Much better flow than cloth. Sound increased as well. Love it.

Got product and both were dented and caved in . Not sure if it's a common problem but two is enough to stop using. No response to fix problem
