I no longer ski... I no longer snowboard.What I do is walk a 70-80 lb. dog who is not well-trained. (I blame the owner—me.) So I wear the helmet when walking or running the dog. I'd rather get a few funny looks than get driven to the hospital after a fall.Truthfully, this review is based on fit, venting and warmth.1. The fit is adjustable and fits me very well.2. The top vents can be opened or closed depending on activity level and weather. It does make a difference.3. The ear pads are wonderfully warm. It hasn't been terribly cold, but they work into the single digits at least.I hope to never update this review after a fall (it seems to be well constructed).

Thankfully I didn't test the helmets protective capabilities but I was warm and comfortable all day wearing this helmet

The helmet was very functional and did everything I would expect of it, but it just looked horrible with the shape on me. I ended up returning because of the look, but the adjustable airways and fit were great.

Getting back into to skiing after a number of years off and never having worn a helmet in the past I wasn't sure what I wanted in a helmet. My only comparison was slipping my sons helmet on so I purchased this helmet based solely on cost. I expected to spend as little as possible and then upgrade at the end of the season after shopping around the ski shops. After wearing the Velazzio helmet for a season, I am sure glad I didn't spend more on a name brand sticker. The helmet fits well. When temps drop below 15 deg F you will want a balaclava under it otherwise I found it warm enough in temps down to the mid teens to wear alone with a neck gator. The liner is of higher quality then I expected, the chin strap and buckle is as good as my son helmet which cost 4 times as much. My only complaint, if you want to call it a complaint, is that on a couple occasions I bumped the vent lever (on top in the center) without knowing it, perhaps pulling my goggles over the top of the helmet, inadvertently opening the vent. I will say, the vent works! I'm sure in the spring I will love having it open. However, I wish the vent had a detente so it only opens when I intentionally want it open. Generally though, Thanks Velazzio, I will not be spending $$ to switch to a name brand this spring and we will purchase from you again.

Good helmet for the price. Going on the third season!

I didn't think it was a big deal that my circumference was 22". I ordered the Medium, but found that the tightest setting leaves the helmet a bit loose. I then noticed that the largest that Small can adjust to is 21.3" and the smallest that Medium can go is 22.4". Just my luck. I'm in the 1" that doesn't fit this helmet.

Overall Great helmet - I am super picky about my gear and have certain things I look for - esp in a helmet.My main criteria is comfort, music compatible, able to convert for winter/spring riding, & $$$.Comfort - helmet itself fits nicely - perfectly snug but not too tight. Lined with some padding - but not too much. Air vent helps a lot for temp regulation. Ear pieces are wonderful as they are made in a way that doesn’t press up against the ear so I can hear what’s going on around me - &/or the music. I’m not in love with the placement of the chin strap. It fits a little too close to my neck - Even when I loosen or tighten. I think I’ll get used to it since I usually have something around my neck for warmth anyway but that’s the one thing I’m iffy on for this helmet.Music compatible - like I said, The earpieces are created in a way that doesn’t Press against the ear which is usually something that I have a hard time with if I’m using earbuds. It is also super easy to put Bluetooth ear pieces for helmets in and out with simple Velcro.Convertible - Ear pieces are easily taken out or put in depending on your need.Overall, this really is a great helmet - especially for the price.Gotta protect that noggin’!
