Can't buy just one!
Ironworks is the de-facto army builder 'bot of the Earthrise line, and is one of the most fun and versatile figures yet due to how many ways he can be used. He can first and foremost be used as an army-builder for lots of generic faceless Autobot grunts, but he can be reconfigured into four different modes via part-forming: a small, single-story repair bay, a two-story tower with a gun emplacement, a bridge made up from his legs, and a set of power armor for a deluxe-sized figure. And because his A.I.R. Lock parts can connect to other ramps or base modes in the line, and his limbs can be swapped out for any other 5mm-post accessories, or his limbs can be reconfigured into tools or accessories for other models. This means that if you get more than one Ironworks, you can bodge them together into an even bigger fortification, or a really big leader-sized robot. (Three is my maximum!)The figure itself is really high-quality, with dense, weighty plastic and tight joints that make Ironworks really sturdy. My only complaint would be that the A.I.R. Lock pegs on his right arm are painted over, which makes connecting and disconnecting ramp pieces a bit of a chore, but it's not too big an issue. He does work moderately well as a "weaponizer," connecting to other figures to form a big shovel claw, crane arm, and shield, but he's best kept in either base or robot mode. Due to his grimy yellow and black color scheme, he works especially well with Generations Selects Zetar. If you're on the fence about either Ironworks or his repaint Greasepit, I can't recommend him enough! This partsforming grunt provides tons of fun options for play and display at a good price!

Ironworks "works" greatly as a Modulator.
Just like Transformers Modulator Greasepit, Ironworks just works just as well has whatever he's supposed to be and with some other accessories from other Transformers lines you can make Ironworks look even better. Just need some time, the part you need and some imagination.

You may want to avoid settling for one copy of the figure. Or two for that matter…
In my mind, this is a great figure to army build with, but I do recommend waiting until it goes on clearance/goes for a reduced price. I’ve seen what people can do with 4 copies of this figure, and I want to have at least that many for when I review this figure on my YouTube channel, but until that time, I’ll happily make do with just one. I’ve barely owned him for 24 hours and he’s already sold me on the modulator concept, and I cannot wait for the upcoming figures in the subline.

My godsons love it!
I bought this Ironworks figure for my godsons, and they had an absolute blast with it. Its modular construction allows you to take it apart and rebuild it as an Autobot action figure, as amour and weapons for another Transformer character, or any number of base configurations for smaller Transformers like Mini-Cons or Micromasters. They spent a lot of time that evening being creative and working together to come up with new modes and functions for Ironworks. A huge hit!Highly recommended for creative play and storytelling.

100% from a G1 kid`
Love the new Siege WFC line of Transformers. The entire generations line is amazing. Hasbro has replaced my IronWorks as mine had a flaw. ( hole drilled too small) But the overall satisfaction for this is amazxing. Exactly what we wanted in 1984.

Ironworks Is Wicked
Since the Transformers branched out in the new War For Cybertron line, I've been intrigued with the newer Autobots and Ironworks definitely is one of the coolest I've seen. Unique transformations makes this character one of the nicest newer introduced by Hasbro.
