Nutricost Organic Shiitake Mushroom Powder 4 oz - Gluten Free, Non-GMO

I had a wisdom tooth extracted and a root canal done on a third upper molar and was in search of a shiitake mushroom powder for a DIY ' healing tea '. Shiitake mushroom fights cancer cells and infectious diseases , boosts the immune system , promotes brain function , and serves as a source of B vitamins. I use a lot of Nutricost products and was thankful to learn they offer this mushroom powder. This powder was very helpful in my healing process during post oral surgery. All of their products are NON - GMO and 3rd party tested. I highly recommend this mushroom powder and any of Nutricost products.

I use this in my miso soup since I am staying away from animal products like fish sauce. It really adds depth toThe flavor easily. It’s a little expensive, but it lasts a long time.I am not using it as a suimate

Good light flavor. Reminds me of cacoa nibs after taste, which is raw cocoa. I have it b4 breakfast by 30 minutes. I've read its best taken on an empty stomach for full benefits. This is a great price for the amount. The 'scoop' is hidden inside of your powder. I used a spoon (tsp) to get the powder until finally the scoop was revealed & now i use that, which is approximately a tsp i suppose.

I happen to love Nutricost products because of their unbeatable price coupled with the fact that they don't sacrifice quality. This product is no different. When I am sick, I add this to my coffee and for powdered mushrooms, the taste is not bad at all. I would say its a subtle earthy flavor that is not bitter at all. Though I can't definitively conclude its efficacy in helping my immune system, for the price point and quality, it certainly doesn't hurt.

Makes me energized, like I can feel my immune system getting stronger.haha and taste terrible in sweet thing and water. Tastes good sprinkled over a savory dish.

Made scramble eggs with it. It was yummy!

I like the flavor of this when added to dishes. I added some to one of my spice mixes for sprinkling on finished dishes. By itself the flavor isn't great.
