Southern Homestyle Corn Flake Crumbs, Gluten Free, 12-Ounce Cans (Pack of 6)

We always used corn flake crumbs as breading when I was growing up, so I was expecting the corn flavour when I tried this for the first time. The texture I was not expecting - instead of being crumbs, they're more like grains of sand. I like crunchy, don't get me wrong, but this definitely adds a crust to anything you're breading it with.

I didn't realize that these were not going to be flavored at all so, for me, it was not the right choice for what I needed. If you need something gluten-free this would probably be a good choice but for us, I was just looking for something different and this was not what I needed. Too bland and too coarse...not powdery like the breadcrumbs I'm used to.

It's great my husband is allergic to wheat and rice so going nuts cooking until I found this it's great for chicken cutlet,meat balls, fried shrimp, and I enjoy it to Try it Iam sure you'll love it.

This is the first time I have tried these and I like them alot. I have been crushing up chex to use as a panko replacement. These are quite nice and I would purchase more when these are gone.

The texture is somewhat grainy. Like most gluten free products, not much flavor. You need a lot of seasoning to make it palatable.

Having been diagnosed with Ciliac, like everyone who is on a GF (Gluten Free) diet, there are many foods that are no longer an option. I've adjusted fairly well, but didn't realize how much I missed breaded foods until I used these Corn Flake Crumbs. It may sound silly, but I was thrilled when I had breaded chicken... It was delicious and the texture was just right! I've since used these crumbs on fish, shrimp, even jalapeno poppers! They're outstanding!They come in cans which make use and storage very easy. When I originally ordered, I was concerned about getting 6-cans on my first order... From that very first use, I'm glad I got all 6-cans!If you are on a GF diet or if you cook for someone who is... There isn't anything better out there.

We purchased these thinking we'd be able to make fried chicken again. We could, but these crumbs have a serious sticking issue. They were not the best we've tried, but not the worst either. I'd say mid-quality for gluten-free, which is ridiculously hard to find good products for.

I don't know what I would have done without these gluten-free corn flake crumbs. I use it as breading for my different fish and chicken. Being gluten intolerant limits choices for breading that tastes normal. Regular cornflakes are a no-no because of the malt flavoring. Order from Amazon.com and opt for the subscribe and save method and have it delivered to your door. Living in rural New Mexico limits accessibility to many of the foods I need.
