Another awesome product from Dr. Hauschka
I have been using Dr. Hauschka products. I love their Rose face creams and I have been using their cream mask lately too. This is a wonderful, light-weight day cream that provides just a little bit of color smoothing to my face. I have a tendency to be “reddish” and flush, so this gently evens out those tones without a really heavy foundation. I barely wear any makeup these days since the pandemic, but this is a really nice thing to put on if I am doing a virtual meeting or happy hour. I was worried this might be too dark on my medium-fair skin, but it is perfect. It is almost translucent, yet provides really nice toning down of my redness. It does not look thick at all and my natural skin shows through even more beautifully with this cream. The scent is very light and absolutely wonderful in my opinion. I don’t like synthetic, artificial scents. The scent of this is flora and totally natural. It does have just a bit of black pepper earthy scent which I adore.Another reviewer said theirs was expired when they received it and rancid. I did not have that issue at all. Mine smells totally fresh and not rancid at all. The Hauschka products tend to have a short shelf life because they do not use harsh preservatives like parabens. Mine expires in 4 months from when I received it which is a pretty short shelf life. I am thinking this has been on the Amazon shelf for a while since typically their products have about a 1 year shelf life. For me it’s fine if it goes past that 4 months on the tube I have. That is just an approximation on the safe side and i can easily go 6-9 months on this tube. It is so wonderful, I’m sure I will use it within that timeline.

Hated it alone, wonderful mixed with another Hauschka moisturizer
Hated it alone, wonderful mixed with another Hauschka moisturizer, especially wonderful mixed with the Tinted Day Cream. Buy it direct from Hauschka website though, they’re always having great promotions.

Tinted But No Coverage, Somewhat Moisturizing With Film-Like Residue- Pills With Some Other Products
I’m sad to say that I’m not a fan of this Dr. Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream Complexion. It comes in a small 40ml bottle.Does it want to provide light coverage or just be a moisturizer? Well, it just isn’t great at either- at least not for me. It is has a medium thickness and feels creamy. It is pigmented as you can see- a tan color. I don’t see that they offer this in any other tones. I have semi-tan olive skin so, the little bit of color that is there works fine with my face once blended in- but it really just seems to disappear rather than cover anything. It doesn’t cover any redness or spots, in fact. I’m not sure if the color would show on someone with very light skin once blended.I suppose it is somewhat moisturizing, but not as good as others I have. This formula does not mix well with some other products I have. I have tried this multiple times, and much of the time, it pills up when I swipe my finger across my face afterward, but not every time. Sometimes it doesn’t at all, but there were a few times that it was excessively pilling off everywhere- I guess depending on what other products I used under it.For $85, this is not a good value for me at all. If I was extremely rich, I still wouldn’t care to buy it. I wouldn’t buy this for $10 to be honest-especially since it doesn’t seem compatible with some other products that I like to use. It doesn’t work well for me and I wouldn’t really recommend it.It isn’t necessarily sticky or tacky-feeling after application, but there seems to be some type of residue or film left over after the majority absorbs. I can feel it on my fingers afterwards and can tell something is on my face when I touch even after I wash my hands, as if something is sitting on top and causing slight friction. It is hard for me to describe. There is a possibility that the light reflecting properties may make my skin seem brighter in person after using, but it is hard to tell. It feels like I applied makeup without getting any coverage- just slight moisture. It smells pretty nice- they say the fragrance comes from natural essential oils, but it isn’t really necessary to me.I’m sure this company probably makes good products. I tried one of their facial oils that was nice, but this particular product just isn’t for me. The expiration date on the package says 3/2021- so next month. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.Anyway, I hope my review was helpful in some way, and if so, I would love to know- thanks!

Ingredients + philosophy
There's a reason that Dr. Hauschka has been a cult favorite for over 50 years. The company pioneered the use of natural ingredients, and their lines remain cruelty-free with many vegan products. Somehow, though I've tried a number of their products over the years, I've never stayed with any long term. This Regenerating Day Cream may work miracles if used for many months or years, but after trying it for a few weeks, I'm not blown away. It's got a strong initial fragrance, somewhere in the rose family but more pungent. That doesn't bother me, and it evaporates quickly. The cream feels nice on application, easy to smooth across my skin. But I can't tell any difference -- and I've tried applying to one side of the face only, so as to be methodical in my analysis. A little grayish on my medium-hued complexion if I use too much, but otherwise, invisible to touch and appearance.I expect this is probably most effective when used in conjunction with the other Regenerating products, like the serum. I'm not sure I'll take that next step. I like the product, but it doesn't attain holy grail status for me.

Very nice cream, a tad overpriced in my eyes for what you get
Products by Dr. Hanuschka are not cheap and this is not the first one that I have used from this line but I do like them. They come in very simple but classic looking squeeze tubes. Inside is a day cream complexion that is on the medium to heavier weight side of things. The cream has a pleasant fragrance but not my favorite and thankfully it is not very strong. The cream is tinted and will help even out your complexion a little bit because of it.Even though this cream is a bit thicker, it still absorbs pretty quickly. It leaves a slightly oily residue on the skin but only briefly. After that the skin feels soft and smooth with a very slight tint on it, nothing like putting foundation on it though, not even close. I just felt like my complexion was more evened out to be honest in a few spots. All in all this is a nice cream, but not sure if it is worth its asking price to be honest.
