This product looks good, smooth, shiny and rounded. That is the only good thing about it.Smooth finish defies your fingers when you try to open it. Did you stash a pill in it for an emergency? Too bad :-( The top and bottom pieces are only held together by friction: if it were easier to open I suppose the bottom would just fall off?But that is not this item's worst failing.If you are a pill preparer who does NOT have strong hands, gecko grip fingertips, and a need for unevenly shattered or powdered pills, shun this item. I would have returned it if I hadn't been in the middle of a medical crisis. Wide blade too fat to be a screwdriver cannot cut even a scored pill. Dust and pill fragments will shoot across the room even with minimal force. No idea what this thing would even be good for. It's worse than a butter knife: harder to open, harder to hold, harder to control, powders the pill worse. I think your teeth would do a neater, more accurate job. Complete waste of money and metal, not to mention my time and energy.HOT TIP: buy pill scissors, they will cut even tiny fragile unscored pills into neat quarters with a minimum of crushing.The above item cannot

Pretty ok tool.It's tiny. It's cool. It does cut tape if you open a lot of boxes.However, I lost the cap almost immediately. Put it on my keychain one morning. When I got home the cap was gone. Watch out for that.It's still on my keychain. Have I been stabbed yet? No. Do I anticipate it? It's possible.I use it enough and it works fairly well.If your hands are bigger or your dexterity isn't great you might have an issue.Other than that it's great. I don't think it will ever wear out, or at least it won't for me.I would buy it again if I lost the cutting part.8/10 good purchase.

This is a nice product, but unfortunately it's unnecessarily difficult to remove the cover when you need to use it.The keyring is too thick to fit keys on, so I guess it's intended to be connected to another keyring - which makes it a bit useless considering the extra space two rings takes up. It'd be better if this product has a hole to fit it into your own keyring or else if the keyring was thinner. The material is nice, so a thinner keyring should still be strong enough to keep me from worrying about it breaking.Overall, I'd say this is good to have but could have been more well defined before releasing.

Nice but I lost it.

I gave it 3 stars because I had to get a pair of pliers to open it. Have been trying to loosen it but it is still hard to open. Hoping it will get easier with time. Good concept though.Addition to review. I have just given it 5 stars and the reason is, I lubricated the rubber ring with some silicone and now I have no issue in opening it. I also, sharpened the point on my wetstone and have a very sharp cutting edge. Highly recommend this product to attach to your key ring.

However, it is so small it is awkward to use. It isn't sharp enough to cut even the tape. And the damn cap is too difficult to open so you could use it.I would be better off using my keys to open packages. Thought it would be good to have for those odd small jobs when you cannot have a "weapon" but nooooo.Worthless and a waste of time and money.Only reason I put one star was it was as it was described. Too bad I didn't even think to look at the reviews on this one.

Update. I purchased a second one because my first one lost a cap. The second one broke after 3 months. Cap won’t stay on. Washer came out and made it dangerous to carry in my pocket and useless. I would not recommend this. It just didn’t lastGreat concept and constructed well this device saves me from using my keys or looking for a knife to open my many amazon packages. Gets the job done. It is a little small and at times a challenge to apply force for thicker tape. Good for one or twoBoxes but not for higher volume work.
