CoronaClassicCUT Forged Bypass Hand Pruner, Red, 3/4"

In today's day and age of a disposable almost everything, it is nice to have a product that if not lost will last for generations. I had a pair of these that I purchased forty years ago that were used on a regular basis. Unfortunately after all that time, they were recently lost and these are the replacement. A few small changes compared to the old but nothing of real consequence that should affect it's use or durability.I have multiple other Corona products. All have been excellent and extremely durable. Over the years there have been a few times I've had to call customer service. A human answers the phone and whatever you may need is handled on the spot. No pushing buttons for 5 minutes and then starting from the beginning because you may have pushed the wrong button. The products are excellent and the company backs them up in spades.On other thing. I've noticed a few references in other reviews concerning the 1" pruner. I also have a pair of them. I agree with the other reviewers in that unless you have very large hands get this model versus the 1" version.

I originally owned two of them, one with a leather sheath and one without. The one without somehow ended up in the trash. But having the leather sheath in my tool box reminds me to look for it when empty. I have owned this one for over 20 years. Never have needed to sharpen it and is real comfortable to use and I use it all the time. I bought this one because my wife kept using mine. She loves hers, it is the same quality as my older one, which is a rare thing nowadays,

I love these pruners and am actually taking good maintenance care of them (bc they’re that great)!

Bought to replace one from the 50's. Works just as well, but is lighter in weight.

Made with high carbon steal, these are made to sharpend and maintained like a professional would. Mine are very sharp and do an amazing job. The "competitors" really pale in comparison. If taken care of, you will never need another pair.

Simple, functional, and high quality. That’s what most of us look for. This item offers all of the above.

Mine become hard to open after a couple uses, not sure what happened but certainly can be better at this price point

I bought this pruner recently to replace the same style Corona pruner that I previously owned.The previous corona pruner that I owned made me a believer in the Corona brand name. I had cut tree roots in the ground with rocks and sand and although the cutting edges became dull but the blade kept it's shape. I guess you can expect durability when you have forged steel. This pruner can be re-sharpened for years of good use. The old pruner is gone, lost it when I moved.Lately, every time I wanted to cut flowers or shape the patio trees I would remember the previous Corona pruner. The local mega stores sell inferior products, so I went shopping on Amazon.About the new pruner, the product arrived so sharp that I cut some dead maple tree limbs ~3/16" like butter.

It is made of carbon steel, will last a life time
