Great little teapot holds 20 oz. keeps it warm for a few hoyrs. Prewarm inside of pot with hot water. Wide mouth makes adding hot water & cleaning easy. Handle never has gotten warm, careful of spout, it gets hot. Works great for teabags or loose tea (but i recommend a strainer or infuser for loose teas).Don't put on direct heat; teapot, not a tea kettle! Direct heat might damage welds of double walled insulation. I handwash but I'm not sure that's necessary, might be ok for dishwasher.Hinge is a little loose but not a problem, works fine, probably avoid problems with contraction/expansion with temperatures. Works beautifully.

The is hinge is flimsy. For the price I expect better

I have been using this teapot five days a week for the past month or so and it's really just what I needed. I get about three cups of tea from it volume-wise and it keeps the water for those three cups pretty hot for an hour or two before it inevitably starts to cool. The pot does not leak unless you overpour and it starts coming out the lid. I've had multiple compliments at work on my little teapot: it's a trendsetter to be sure.The only problem is that I've noticed a few isolated patches of rust forming on the interior. This is disappointing of course, because it's otherwise a really great pot! I'm still using it until it gets worse, but I'm wondering if there's any way to stop the spread of the rust or have it replaced. Will be contacting Grunwerg customer service.Update: 5/13/2016While I still want to love this teapot, it seems that a spot in the spout that was brazed on as it crosses through the vacuum chamber has been leaking for some time. When my pot is empty, I can hear a few ounces of water swishing around where it should be a vacuum. I have tried to boil the water back out of the chamber on a hot plate without success. Because of the water in the insulation chamber, my teapot no longer keeps things hot for very long at all. I would hope that a teapot at this price would stand up to daily use a bit better, but it really hasn't. Very disappointed.

I have never had such a satisfactory teapot. Although I have seen double lined teapots before, I had no idea where to get one and did a lot of online searching before I found this advertized on Amazon. The teapot never gets more than warm outside yet keeps the tea inside very warm-hot. The handle is amazingly, easy to hold with lots of finger room. It is never hot or even more than comfortably warm. I cannot praise this teapot highly enough. It is beautiful in appearance, works well, is sturdy. I might contemplate getting another one that is 32 ounces, but for now, my breakfast tea in the 20 ounce pot is perfect. Incidently 20 ounces is up to the lid. A reasonable filled pot will hold 16 ounces at the most, but that is more than enough for a single person's morning breakfast tea. Yes, if contemplating, get it, definitely. I do have lovely china teapots with warmers to cover them to keep the heat in. I really never use them. They are only decorative in my china cabinet.

When my husband accidentally broke my little china teapot, I was pretty angry. Now I am grateful. I purchased this teapot as a replacement and it is better than my old china one. The double walls keep the tea hot, the pour is drip-less, and best of all, the top is hinges so that there is no fear that top will fall off when pouring tea. We were thinking about taking some car trips later this year and if we go, this teapot will be going with us on the trip!

IT LEAKS. For months, now, I have been trying to figure out how a water ring is beneath the pot when in use. I have wiped the pot with a towel after handling, to make sure the moisture is not from a drip following pouring or filling. Finally, I am thinking the seal at the bottom of the pot expands when the pot is filled with hot water and eventually water leaks out. Even this I am not certain of because the pot does not leak enough to become empty. Still, the moisture ring does enlarge over time, but as the pot seemingly cools, the flow of liquid slows. DO NOT PUT THE POT ON FINE WOOD or anything where you cannot accept damage to the finish. I am trying to return mine to Amazon.

The teapot has double wall layers. However, the spout connects to both layers and the workmanship of the welding is poor. So, water leaks in between the walls and you can hear it sloshing around even when the pot is empty. It's impossible to get this water out. I returned the first one. The replacement had the same issue.

Defective seal at the bottom of the spout allowing tea to drip down the front onto my worktop. Spotted immediately and returned for a refund. I’ve ordered a replacement in the hope that it will be fault free as it’s a nice teapot and great for one person (my wife drinks different tea).Replacement item doesn’t leak, so changed the rating to 5 star. Very pleased with the end result. Brews well, pours well and keeps the tea left in the pot hot enough for a top up. Highly recommended.

J'ai commandé cette théière et je regrette pas mon choix car elle répond bien a ce que j'attendais beau design facile à nettoyé et surtout garde le thé au chaud, je suis satisfaite vraiment.

Mantiene a lungo il tea molto caldo e l'esterno rimane tiepido. E' molto robusta e piacevole al tatto. Ottimo acquisto

La teiera funziona bene e mantiene a lungo il calore,però scaldando moltissimo nella parte esterna occorre prestare attenzione.Dopo i primi utilizzi la cromatura esterna si rovina subito.
