A Valuable Tool and a Good Value
I've had mine since 2012 -- along with 3 different club-head-speed radars and "on the club" devices. Its my "favorite" this year because it gives the most useful information. Club head speed sensors are nice, but they don't factor in the "contact/smash factor". This device measures ball speed directly. Ball speed takes into account club head speed, accuracy of contact, ball construction (different ball types give different results -- a feature not a bug). The carry yardages are fairly accurate within 10 or 15 percent on well launched balls at the driving range using high-end driving range balls (some driving range balls deliberately have restricted flight and would not show the correct yardages). More important to me are the ball speeds because, with my driver and 3 metal, ball speed is what I am after (a combination of club head speed, contact, and ball). In practice, I check and, if needed, modify my techniques to maximize speed with proper launch (I determine proper launch by watching the ball fly).At the time I'm writing this, the price is very excellent for the value received -- I paid virtually full price 3 years ago.

Great product but with a hitch!
This is a great product made by Zelocity. Unfortunately they have gone out of business. Ernest Sports does have a similar product for about the same price.

Great Launch Monitor
We purchased this unit to increase consistent distance with irons while at the range or hitting off the net in the backyard. The Zelocity Radar does a great job at telling you the ballspeed and calculated "carry" distance. The distances are not very precise but the radar IS consistent. When taking it to a well marked driving range that is level with no wind, the distances read about 10% shorter than my average ball. HOWEVER, the distances are consistently short. So if you are comparing shot vs shot, then this radar is EXCELLENT.We now have made GREAT use of this item with my son. He is an avid junior golfer and he likes to play a game to call out the distance, and then hit that distance on the meter with the first swing. This has made him crazy consistent on the course and a more willing on the practice tee. He also sets it on "driver" and trys to max out his distances (with little consistency).

Every body can use it.
If you want to know the distances of every club then this is the best you can buy.I am a very proud owner now.

Increase Clubhead Speed
A pretty useful tool to see how slight changes to your grip ,your tempo ,your posture ,your arm extension ,your body turn improves or slows your clubhead speed .A bit tricky to utilize at first .To be compared to the SWING SPEED RADAR of SPORTS SENSORS INC ,easier to utilize .ZELOCITY eats a lot of battery power and the battery has to be changed too often .

I paid way too much for this item. It does not show a true swing speed. IDon't waste your money.
I have medicus for my driver. Medicus swing speed 98. The Zelocity showed a swing speed of 67. Now I understand there could be a slight difference but according to their charts I would hit a 7 iron 125 yards (I hit my seven 150 yds).
