There is nothing even remotely flattering about these on my pear-shaped body, but I don’t think pants in this style are meant to be. What they ARE meant to be is quirky and comfy, and they certainly are. I am so pleased with the quality of them. The material is good and thick and I love the big colorful pockets. They really feel like they will last. Frumpy mom approved! Would love to get another pair.

Taking into account the style of these pants is baggy, loose fitting, they still run very large. I normally wear a size M or L in J.Jill pants. But, these were styled in China, with Chinese size conversion shown. That led me to order up the size to a US XL. Mistake. The size XL elastic waist was so big that I could barely feel it! I am not a slim woman, but these pants just will not do. I gave them to my mother, who has a larger waist than me, in hopes that she can wear them. I had already washed them twice trying to shrink the fabric. I did reorder a size large in hopes of finding a better fit so that I can actually wear them. The style is very cute, and I hope to wear them with a short or cropped tee.

I was concerned these pants might be too tight, but they fit great. I've only worn them once, and the fabric is as soft as I had hoped. They washed up fine, and they didn't wrinkle like I thought they would. They shrank a little in the length, but as I am only 5 foot 2 inches, that worked out just fine. My daughter didn't make any disparaging remarks, so; that was good.

Im 5 5 and a half about 128 pounds, i ordered a large and almost wish it was a bit bigger. Def order a size up in ths. I give it 4 stars because the fabric isnt like the picture, it is a lighter colored and lightweight fabric, not jeans like as it appears in picture, just a basic blue cloth. Cute nonetheless.

The fit is a little small, but manageable. It’s a shame because I love the pants. Color and cut is pretty great. Guess I gotta get rid of covid lbs!

These pants are very comfortable. I ordered according to their size chart. My waist is 40”, so I could have gone with either XL or XXL. I chose XXL because I like my clothes loose-fitting, but these were a little too loose on my waist. They are still extremely comfortable and stay up, so I kept them. If I order more, I’ll get XL next time. I’m 5’4” and they come just above my ankles.

Need to buy larger size for loose fit

I ordered up a size and bought 2xl just to make sure these were loose enough to garden in. Glad I did or they wouldn't have fit. My hips a good 15 inches smaller than the 59 inches stated in the size chart for 2XL.Love the fabric quality a nice heavier weight fabric, not ultra thin. It'll hold up well. Nice sized pockets too.
