OK, at 6g carb in the whole can it's an obvious win for a dip when you're doing keto and NOT game for more sour cream + SomethingProbablyCheese. Sure, sandwich types love this one for shelf stable emergencies, camping trips, beach picnics, basically anywhere you want meat without having to keep it cold, but I use even more of this as a high protein "cream O' whatever soup" type add in. Mix in with canned soups to give them a heartier, more rustic, look-who-slaved-over-a-hot-stove-for-hours touch (while you're really sneaking in a few pages of your latest KD Harp novel). Great add in for chicken and dumplings, or your chicken pot pie. Add to turkey dressing for a savory boost, (particularly nice with a keto version and all that almond meal). The fine texture mixes in well for anything hot, (egg salad? potato salad?) so I imagine you've already thought of other uses I haven't found yet. Unfortunately, you didn't invite ME over to taste test.

This is old school canned meat. It's high in sodium, but I don't care, my grandma used to dump ... yes dump salt on all of her foods and she lived to see the horizon of her 104th birthday. I love to stuff this into a pita pocket with a bit of mustard a la Slingblade, and I am set for half a day! Positive points for the convenience factor, lids are easy-off and no refrigeration necessary, so it's a great sandwich stuffer on the go!

So good on baked potatoes or sandwiches! Can’t find it in stores anymore! Why is that? The chicken flavor is superb as is the deviled ham. Try it. We all love it in our house.

When I was a child, my family used this product on our camping trips. Using it now reminds me of what wonderful times we had, especially waiting for yummy Underwood chicken spread sandwiches at the end of a hike.
