Organic Chemistry

I'm a pharmacy major taking organic and didn't want to buy the bookstore version of the book if I could find a way around it. This book is a great replacement as it follows the timeline of my classes exactly and was actually helpful. The practice problems in it don't have solutions unless you have the solution manual. However, it's still good practice!

The book arrived on time, undamaged and appeared "new", as seller had described. Would have been nice to know the illustrations are in black & white (instead of color), but for $40 (hardcover w/ color illustrations is $350+), I can't complain, much.

College course

Great book for a lot cheaper than the U.S. edition. Only downside is that it is in black and white and the pages don't match up the U.S. version. Better than paying 200.

Each and every concept of organic chemistry is well explained in lucid language with detailed diagrams.The order of the chapters is slightly different from the popular Indian books. As it is not focused on JEE or NEET, contains many extra topics which are better avoided.One small disadvantage is that the book is in black & white, whereas the international/US edition has coloured pages (See attachment). Author uses different colours in the international edition to differentiate between two atoms, bonds, orbitals etc, which makes it easier to understand. Now, here the content is same but diagrams are in B&W, so when author asks to look at the 'purple orbital', I'm really getting confused!

This is the best book for those who are just starting an organic chemistry course. Everything explained so clearly. Beginners are highly recommended to start reading organic chemistry from this book. Also very good for intermediates and advanced ones

This book is great for theory and covers almost most of the topics and the best part of this book is that the is explained in a very systematic and great manner.Actually I don't have words to express this book.At last I want to thanks Amazon for delivering on before the time and for the condition of the book which was outstanding

I have been using the book for about 11-12 days. The overall impression about the book is good, but I feel certain topics are discussed more in detail than the other topics. Like I couldn't find cannizarro or the benzoin reaction in their intended positions.Amazon has slowly but surely detoriated. The speed of delivery is praiseworthy, but the packaging needs a lot of improvement if they want to retain their customer base. Thus 4 stars. Actually I intended to give it a 3.5stars. which is not possible.

this book is amazing for theory ,, but not for practice problems.. but this book has very easy and simple language
