Great size
I wanted these rocks for an experiment.Trying to print photos on tissue paper and Mod Podge them to a rock. The size and smoothness were perfect, however I think white rocks will work better.

Not really "large"
So I ordered these rocks to paint for some people. I kept reading descriptions and this one said "large " rocks. Well they aren't large at all. Really like average sized. Besides that product is what it says it is

They're rocks. A+ performance on rock-ing.
I'm not sure why the review process asked me to rate the "light weight" -- they are rocks. they are not light weight. it was not a feature i was seeking.ANYWAY these are great. I've ordered them twice. They are natural material, uncoated, and therefore appropriate for many uses, particularly for use around living things that might be susceptible to toxins in coatings, paints, etc. (plants, animals, children).I use these in my box turtle habitat-- carefully arranged, these give him places to climb, rest, hide. I find them helpful in creating a border around his little soaking tub-- b/c he has to climb over some rocks to get between his substrate and his soaking tub, he doesn't track as much soil and substrate into his bath and the water stays cleaner longer.but i can see how these would also be great in bulb forcing dishes, plant beds to keep weeds down, and in water features of gardens. I think they'd be great as landing spots in water sources for bees and small lizards. they'd also be great in classroom use as name tags for students. They're also kind of not bad as essential oil diffusers-- a couple of drops on the stone surface of a flatter one, and boom. you have a diffuser. warm it up under an incandescent lamp to really let the scent dissipate.rocks were the first tools, y'all. you can do a lot with them. have fun.

bottom of the pile
I was looking forward to having nice stones to paint. These were too oddly shaped (most of them), not really round and several had breaks in them. NOT flat enough really either. One was nice, the rest won't work. Too much for these

Kitty proofed my large plant
Used my hand for size reference. These beautiful rocks are the perfect barrier for your feline friends to not dig your plants. I bought 2 bags to cover this area.

Really? Extra Large Rocks?
Very disappointed in this bag of rocks that cost me way more than what it was worth. Anyone who paints rocks knows these are not rocks that you paint nor would you ever pick out any of these at a rock place to take home. I can state there is maybe 4 or 5 of these I might pick out and I need the largest of the large here, not the mostly 3 inch rocks...and 3 inch rocks are not extra large. The long skinny one? What do you want me to do with that? A big exclamation point??? One is chipped as you can see, a few others weird shaped. Won't make this mistake again, I usually have to go to a landscape place to get my rocks but most of them have concrete on them from being taken down as a wall. I paint rocks to raise money for a charity to help animals. And having to pay shipping on rocks isn't worth the expense to send back.
