Yo! Kilimanjaro! This is a great picture book & useful journal of mountaineering up the mountain. Quotes are touching. A great coffee table book. LOVE IT.

I found this book really useful to help get my mind and some of my gear prepared for my scheduled climb to Kilimanjaro this June. It was great because I will be doing the same route at the same time of year, and I was looking for a more personal account of the experience. I am already an experienced wilderness traveler, but this is an stretch for me to do this trip due to altitude and the varying conditions to be encountered. The photos are beautiful, and the author's descriptions of his experience were clear and personal. A very quick read, but a book to keep and go back to after the experience. Now I know what pictures I will not have to take because I already have them in the book.

Purchased as a gift for someone traveling to Africa, The quality was great and the pictures were too. Excellant book for the money and shipping was received as promised. I would consider buying this again to add to my library.

This book met my expectations and gave me an idea of what to expect or rather what the topography of Mt. Kili is as I am preparing to summit later this year. Beautifully pictured!!

Some good pictures but fails to capture the mountain's magic as I recall from my ascent in the 60's. Mountain sickness, caves, final ascent and descent too sanitised.

Gorgeous well constructed book, with absolutely stunning photo's.

This was a bought as a secret santa pressie for an intrepid explorer at work who had recently been to Kilimanjaro, he absolutely loved it. Photos were lovely, did the job!

Made the trip in 2013 on a different route. different perspective but great words and pictures. recommended before heading off up the hill
