DOVO DOVO Carre Straight Razor with Ebony Wood Handle

I started shaving about 6 months before buying this. The other shaver I had was also a dovo but part of a set. It was a 5/8" blade and worked as it should. I purchased this to try something with a little weight to it. Very pleased at how much better my shaves are with this- never expected the improvement to be noticeable.

I was able to find this dog razor at PetSmart for only $289. While it does not cut smoothly, it leaves a nice stubble and is very affectionate. So 5 stars for the dog, but 3 stars for the price. 4 stars overall.

Dog has a very dull edge. Did not make for a close shave at all. First shave left me covered in Dachshund hairs.
