I had been looking for a new Seiko for some time and decided on this one. I opened the shipping envelop and found the Seiko box was crushed on one side. It looked like this had been done prior to shipping. The top and bottom of the box were separated like something was not correctly placed in it. The watch had been repackaged so my assumption was that it had been a returned item. The separation of the box was caused by the band. It had been placed perpendicular to the band slot rather than in it. Also, there is a plastic bag that is supposed to contain the watch and it was just lying in the bottom of the box. It was apparent that the watch had been handled but it did not appear to have been damaged in any way. I do like the watch. However, there is not enough contrast between the dial and the markers. So they are not easily seen unless in full sunlight. I do not use a tachymeter, which is good, because at my age I cannot clearly see the small numbers around the edge of the bezel. Removing a link in the bracelet was a simple 5 minute task. However, I do have a watch repair kit and did not have to use the provided tool. I bought my first Seiko when I was in the Air Force in 1967. I have owned Seiko's ever since. Each of them have lasted many years. I have a gold one that still works but needs to be replated.

I had two watches that were more concerned about watching me than serving me. I ditched them and went back to a real watch instead of a surveillance device. This is my third Seiko so I feel it will last forever as they have. I bought it to wear but now it looks so good I want to preserve it like a much more expensive watch. Problems, problems. I guess I'll have to buy two. Buy it for the looks/function, keep for the quality.

Really nice looking watch. One of the nicest I've ever had. Wife agrees, this is very nice. I'm not a watch expert, but this is a banger. One small quibble: the hands do glow very nicely in the dark, but only for a short time. They fade quickly, I mean in minutes, not hours. It's dark winter now, so maybe this gets better in the summer with more sunlight, but still. Otherwise a handsome and quality watch.

Value for money. You won’t regret if you buy this watch. Watch dial is just ok. If you want bigger watch dial then you can also try this watch.

Klasse Uhr für einen noch besseren Preis!Ich trage die Uhr jetzt schon eine ganze Weile und bin absolut begeistert von ihr. Sie macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Das Edelstahlarmband ist ausreichend dick, die Schließe ist perfekt gearbeitet. Das verstellen der Armbandes funktioniert einfach und ist mit der mit gelieferten Anleitung, auch für keine mechanisch begabten Menschen, problemlos.Ich habe sie ständig an, ob bei Arbeit oder Hobby und erfreue mich jedes mal aufs neue wenn ich drauf schau. Ich bin in der Metalverarbeitung tätig und stoße da auch ab und zu mal an konnte bis jetzt aber noch keine Kratzer im Glas erkennen.Das Ziffernblatt mit dem ( nicht verstellbaren) Tachymeter sieht sehr edel aus. Die Sichtbarkeit bei Nacht ist aber, meiner Meinung nach, noch verbesserungwürdig. Momentan ist "nur" die 12:00 Position und die beiden Zeiger floureszierend. Da wäre es schön wenn die 3, 6 und 9 Uhr Positionen auch noch leuchten würden. Wenn jetzt auch noch das Ziffernblatt eine Solarfunktion hätte dann wäre sie... soweit darf ich gar nicht denken...Fazit: absolut geeignet zum selber tragen aber auch zum verschenken.

Die Uhr ist der Hammer! Obwohl sie eher auf der günstigen Seite anzusiedeln ist ist das Kauferlebnis in der doppelten Schatulle traumhaft. Das dicke Handbuch, die Garantiekarten, das weiche Kissen auf das die Uhr gespannt wird, das Werkzeug zum innovativen "Bracelet remove link" System, genauso wird m.E. auch eine Uhr für 5000€ präsentiert. Das Kürzen des Armbandes an den vorgesehenen Stellen war mit dem mitgelieferten Werkzeug in 5 Minuten erledigt (immerhin musste ich 2 + 1 Glied entfernen :-).) Ich kann schon verstehen warum Leute Uhren sammeln, die Uhr ist optisch und von der Haptik ein Traum, obwohl es "nur" eine Quartzuhr ist. Dies wird bestimmt nicht meine letzte Seiko bleiben!
