Whitman's Sampler All Milk Chocolate Assortment, 12 Ounce Box (Pack of 3)

I'll admit, I'm the type that likes the rougher texture of "commercial" chocolates. Whitman has that type of texture. Maybe "grainy" is a better word? It's a texture that appeals to me, and I feel that I can taste the chocolate better when it doesn't have that shiny, smooth, slick texture. I also like the Whitman's Sampler because you get that nifty little "map to the chocolates" on the lid. There's a nice variety: coconut, peanuts, almonds, nut clusters, nougats, caramels, cherry, etc. It may not be the fancy stuff, but I rarely see anyone decline when I offer them a chocolate. Good for gift-giving or hiding behind the bag of frozen asparagus in the freezer (aka: Private Chocolate Stash). Items were packaged well, expiration date was almost a year away. I'd look, but these are all gone now. I would definitely reorder. Very pleased.

The product was terrible it was nasty and white the expiration date was good but the chocolate wasn't good

I found this box of chocolates for $3.99 at my local grocery store because apparently it was leftover from Christmas. I was planning on giving it to a relative as a present but my husband opened it up. That meant I could try some too. So we sampled the chocolates and found them quite good. My favorite two chocolates are the Almond Nougat and Maple Fudge. This box also contains: Coconut, chocolate covered peanuts, caramel, chocolate covered almonds, chocolate whip, pecan and English walnut cluster, molasses chew, messenger boy, cashew cluster, chocolate truffle, toffee, cherry cordial and toffee. The product description says this is sugar-free but I beg to differ. These are some of the sweetest chocolates I've ever eaten. Some of the ingredients include: Chocolate, sugar, cocoa butter, whole mik, milk fat, soy lecithin, almonds, cashews, peanuts, walnuts, pecans, sugar, brown sugar, condensed milk, butter, dairy cream, cherries, corn syrup, palm kernel oil, coconut, molasses, white chocolate tapioca flour, honey, natural and artificial flavors and preservatives. When this candy arrived and we opened the first box, it was obvious it had melted multiple times. The coloration was very mottled and the flavor of the candy was stale in addition to the melting problem.
