Size:1 Pack Specifically designed to prevent sticking and make cutting easier. This chef's knife is perfect for sushi, but would work great for cutting almost anything. The non-stick coating and integrated holes in the blade help to prevent food from sticking. This will allow you to cut faster, easier and more frustration free. The coating allows this knife to glide effortlessly through raw fish, vegetables, meats, cheeses and more. The 10 "vents" along the edge of the blade not only reduce sticking, but they also make the knife lighter and more easy to handle. This aeration allows for more air flow in order to reduce friction while preventing the suctioning action that makes food stick. This knife will glide through sushi rolls and resist sticking to rice. It features a super sharp blade made from stainless steel and an ergonomic handle design. A large 8 inch blade makes it the perfect size for any number of food preparation tasks. Stop food from sticking to your knife and make cutting and chopping easier.

Not much chance to use it yet, but it seems pretty good!
I've only had occasion to use it twice, but so far I'm happy with it. I really does seem pretty darned sharp; I've used it to trim the fat off of some beef, then cube the beef, and it's the sharpest knife I've ever used. I'm not a gourmet chef or anything, and probably don't use proper techniques for this stuff, but I was able to get some impressively close trimming done with it. Understand, though, that we never had any decent knives in the house when I was growing up, so my opinion of "pretty darned sharp" may not be as reliable...I also chopped some raw veggies, and was suitably impressed. It seems so sharp to ME that I did go ahead and buy some nice plastic sheaths for them (gave 3 as Christmas gifts, too) so they're not a danger in the drawer, and so they don't get ruined, too. Very happy so far, and seemingly well worth the price! Can't wait to give it a really good workout sometime....

Well worth its price
I am a firm believer of reviewing every product based on its value. This means a balance between what you pay and what you get.I just started learning how to prepare sushi and I wanted a non-expensive SHARP knife which will cut through the rolls with ease. I bought the 2 pack because it was, for whatever reason, cheaper than getting a single knife.I received the knives very promptly and sooner than expected. At first I was a little disappointed. The box the knife comes in is cheap and it looked like something one would get at a dollar store. The knife handle is made out of plastic and the knife itself is extremely light. However, when I used it I was extremely pleased. The blade is indeed very sharp. I fist used it to slice my cucumbers and bell peppers and was very happy with how it handled. Cutting my rolls was easy and it sliced through the like butter. However, some rice will stick so just keep a wet towel handy to wipe it off after each cut.I have used it almost day to cut just about everything you can think: Onions, carrots, potatoes, various types of melons, meat, filet fish and the knife has worked great and remained sharp after a month. Granted the handle is cheaply made and I wouldn't be surprised if it snapped off and broke one day but for what I paid for these knives I have gotten my use out of them in a single month. I still have one of them in the original packaging so I will have one always handy if I needed and immediate replacement. Overall I am very satisfied with its performance and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy an affordable sharp knife not just for sushi, but also for general daily use.Update after 1.5 years of almost daily use. The knife is still sharp but not as sharp as when I first bought it. The black coating is worn out on the sides from where it gets the most use. It's still usable and I still have the 2nd one in the box. But I don't expect for it to last for more than and additional 6 months - 1 year. But given the fact it's a two pack, still worth more than what you pay for.

I love buying blocks of cheese then slicing them myself for ...
I'll have to admit I was a bit dubious when I first ordered 2 of these knives... I love buying blocks of cheese then slicing them myself for crackers and whatever, and I normally use a serrated knife for that use for generally decent results. After buying a set of these and taking one to work, I must say I'm a believer of how sharp this knife was, right out of the packaging, and how well it cut through the cheese blocks without the cheese sticking to it and causing it to "gum up", if you will, while cutting the next slice... I'm a believer, and I'm glad I bought 2...

you'd love it! Since this is a 2 knife set
If you're a knives person, you'd love it!Since this is a 2 knife set, I gave the second one to my son-in-law, who, like his father-in-law, is a knives person, i.e. enjoys cooking and likes using the best tools :) It was a unanimous decision! Both of us ranked this knife in the top three of the purpose specific knives we've ever used. Cuts well at all angles, points well and stays sharp! I'll put it in my "useful" presents list.

Incredible value
This knife is just wonderful. It would be a great knife at any price, but for less than $10 it is off the chart. It is as sharp as any knife I have ever used (I generally use a Victorinox or Henckels chef's knife) and lives up to its non-stick billing. My only concern is that the knife seems to have a Japanese style cutting edge (sharpened on only one side, and at a lesser angle than typical European/American knives), so it will require some special attention to sharpen. For that reason, I plan to use it mostly on softer foods. But it seems quite sturdy, despite the fact that it is very light and easy to handle. I plan to buy several more as gifts.

Best knife I have ever had
I bought a sushi making kit and this knife happened to come along with it. Best knife I have ever had. I have spent a lot of money on knives but I always grab for this one. My husband is amazed with all the expensive knives that I have I am always using this one. It is just superior cutting and always sharp edge that I prefer over all my other knives. I have been using these knives for years. I tell everyone in my family about them.

These are VERY sharp knives, beware. The holes along the edge make them work well for many purposes and I'll likely be buying more in the future.
