humor and suspense
There is humor, suspense, and emotion all tied up in here. I purchased this in 2017 I think and I liked it then and I still like it now.

It was definitely an interesting read but it was so fast burn and fast paced that it felt somewhat lacking in development.
If you don't like fast burn or plot pacing to be fast forwarded then you might want to read this with caution.Honestly, this could have been an amazing read if things had just been slowed down a bit and fleshed out more with regards to character, relationship, and plot development. It was interesting enough but the fast paced and Insta turn a rounds and almost Insta mating had me rolling my eyes a lot. The fact we know so very little about the MC was pretty ridiculous. All put together it had this book feeling pretty shallow and surface level. You can't connect or feel emotional about things that are surface level. We know nothing about her parents or even the grandmother besides a few sentences about how they didn't want her to move to help her sick grandma then another few about the grandmothers secret and setup. Same thing about her friend who is basically non existent besides two short scenes and one call. Again with college and her job brought up two or three times as flimsy what she'll have to give up but again the emotion and connection is missing. We also know next to nothing about her interests, personality, or hobbies or previous love interest. The guys aren't much better. I want to feel and connect and this book makes that really hard to do.The entire book takes place in less than a couple weeks time and in reality probably more like a week. Yet, she gets turned, gets saved, learns shifters are real and she is one, decided she was drugged the night before and is in denial then tries to escape is stopped then shown demonstration, acceptance and finds out she'll have to move in with them, goes gets her stuff and finds out she was betrayed, gets introduced to the pack, tested in pack, unhappy about rank and runs away again, gets hauled back all within a 48 hour time span.Yet, it doesn't stop there because once brought back she then challenged an enforcer the alpha accepts the challenge for dawn the next day. Dante gets permission to train her in secret and barely starts before it is obvious how bad she is but then all of a sudden she claws his face and apparently that was enough training for this brand new wolf who was labeled the weakest member to not only take on a wolf but a enforcer.Yep, apparently one swipe of her claws actually making contact after losing every other time was enough for them to feel confident, because it was then nothing but $exy time until the other brothers interrupt another round. With only hours left until dawn don't worry she doesn't sleep but watches videos of wolves fighting while taking notes. No seriously that's what happened. She went from inexperienced to a fighter in a day. The same thing with accepting her new life and how she can no longer go to work or college from escaping to happily staying almost instantly. Accepting having the possibility of three mates and one day ruling instantly after being informed.A week or so getting changed into a wolf learning supernaturals exist then your entire life and home moved round and then meeting and mating three of your mates not to mention all the other drama.7 days or so just isn't enough time for all of that to happen and make sense. Slow it down flesh it out make it more believable and please show me and make me feel what she's going through. Most of the time I'd say show not tell but we don't even get told much more than the minimum.Frustrating because the bones are there for a great book, it has several easily fixed typos most of them being wrong word order or duplicate etc. They aren't so numerous that it's unreadable by any means and the majority of them are extremely simple. If these things don't bother you at all then you'll probably love it. I put this book on my TBR list years ago after reading the blurb, however by the time I actually got around to wanting to read it the author had taken it off KU. After reading the sample I decided not to purchase the series. However, when I was notified that it was once again on KU I decided to give it another go. I'd definitely have returned it and gave it one star if I'd have purchased this book.As a free KU read I'll give it an extra star for the potential the book had and the idea of it was actually good but the execution was lacking big time. The shocking part is how many good reviews this has because while everyone has different taste and likes the glaring amount of holes and lack of emotion along with the lack of details etc and the time during all this happened makes this not a good book. I don't see how anyone could dispute the facts a college English professor or even high school English teacher would red pen this to death a reputable publishing company would reject it but a great editor might actually have turned it around after several edits. But what do I know? I'm obviously in the minority here.😁

An exciting new look at the world of wolf shifters
A superb new series is definitely coming together by these two amazing authors, M.H. Soars and Michelle Hercules.A small town full of mysteries and plenty of legends becomes Amelia's new home after her Grandmother appeals to her loving nature requesting she stays with her and assist in any way possible during her declining years. So as a loving granddaughter Amelia finds herself in a small country town that seems to have more going on behind the scenes than she could have ever guessed.Finding she seems to have been a pawn caught up in a destiny many thought had just been a legend, her whole life is turned upside down when she learns that supernatural beings are not just stories told to young children, even more terrifying is when she realised she had become one of those monsters she had heard so much about.Finding herself drawn to three sexy smart alpha shifters, it seems as though Amelia is the catalyst to a huge number of changes going on around both her new found friends and those who are threatened by her abilities and presence. Can Amelia finally understand where all of this is taking her, or is there far more going on than she could ever hope to see or understand, who is pulling all the strings behind the scenes or are the events taking place slowly fitting together as they were planned many ensure ago. This really is a tantalising set of events with a culmination of emotional drama that will keep you wanting to find out exactly how and why people who had never known each other exists Suddenly find their lives are bound up together in an uncanny set of mysterious and suspicious events.I am loving what I have read so far and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

3.5 stars
It's definitely a fast-burn, fast-paced story. There is a lot going on in the background that at this it is too early to know what is important or just useless. From a Witch for a major to what the 13 days of Choas was, there is a lot that the author dropped in this story with little explanation as to what it means to the overall story, if anything.I found that because this story was so fast-paced, I could really only focus on Red and sometimes the Wolfe bros. While the different POVs do give you an inside prospective into other characters without guessing, sometimes it just left me feeling more scattered. I don't necessarily mind the fast-burn as the shifter world has different codes that drives it, but when you add that with a fast-paced plot something will be lacking. I think in this case it was a greater depth of story. Hopefully some more background will come with the next book

loving it
So glad I don’t have to wait for the second book!!! I’m fully investing in finding out what happens and some more spicy scenes between red and her men.

Solid shifter book! Looking forward to the next one!!
4.5/5!!I think this book is a solid shifter book! I'm seriously looking forward to the next books in the series. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is that there were a few missing words and some odd typos. It wasn't bad enough to even impede my reading, just slightly annoying.

Good intro to series
All in all, I thought this was a good intro to a new to me series, though I admit it did take me a bit to really get into the story and become invested in the characters. One of my biggest pet peeves is when characters are treated as dumb or as though they’re asking for reprisals when they don’t know anything about the world/race/creatures/supernaturals they’re unknowingly thrust upon and know one bothers to explain or even allow them time to adjust. That happened a bit with this one, BUT it was acknowledged somewhat afterward and attempts were made to somewhat make up for it and/or explain. The second half of the story really started to suck me in, and by the end, I was here for these characters and ready to dive into the next installment.

Wow!
I was hooked from the start. I love all the characters and the unusual twist to the shifter storyline was brilliant. Will definitely be reading more of this series.

Amazing Story
This was an awesome start to a fairy tale inspired paranormal trilogy. It's suspenseful and steamy, and the guys were amazing. Red was easy to sympathise with from start to finish. She went through so much. The story is so good, I can't wait to see what happens next! Highly recommended.
