Easy to install
The barrier was easy and quick to install. I followed the instructions and used a spirit level to ensure it was straight and level. I used the sticky pads (there are also small screws which could be used instead). All done in less than 10 minutes. The 104cm extra tall gate is perfect for stopping even a large dog (what our pup will become) from jumping over while allowing our cats freedom of movement. They can go upstairs for peace and quiet whenever they want. The cat flap can be locked shut or left to swing free. The double locking system handle doesn’t feel that intuitive and will take some familiarisation but it is effective for ensuring that only those with opposable thumbs and fingers can open and close the gate! To both close and open the gate requires the bottom and top of the handle to be pushed and pinched together. I would have preferred a handle that could be shut by just pushing the gate to, but this handle does mean that the gate needs to be shut with more care which is safer. The gap for the gate to go into at the bottom of our stairs was 83cm at the top and 79cm at the bottom and it was easy to adjust the two top and two bottom pieces to fit the gap exactly. If you have a wider gap then there are multiple options to extend the gate width up to 148cm.The puppy is less impressed but the cats are pleased to have their own space, off limits from the pup!

Overpriced and not fit for purpose!!!
If you have had children, you probably will have had baby gates. Most, if not all that we have had cost half as much and were twice as good.I bought this gate, as we have a very small puppy, and thought she would probably fit between the bars on a baby gate.It arrived broken, one of the plastic discs that is set into the frame was broken off, but still useable to some degree - especially as our pup is so light.Fitting it was easy enough, but you have to put quite a bit of spring tension into the frame by tightening the top screws to get the gate catch to meet the fixed section. This means that if it gets a hard knock , it literally flies apart. Which has happened twice now in the first 24 hours of use.The two biggest drawbacks are the swung stop (that allows the gate to open in a specific direction) and the catch/lock.The swing stop does not seem to be adjustable, so only opens in one direction, it barely catches the bottom rail of the frame, so in reality will open in both direction regardless. As this is the only thing stopping the gate from opening at the bottom, I would suggest that a larger pet giving the gate a thump would dislodge the gate, possibly trapping a paw if the top catch didn't release. However, that probably won't be an issue, as the top catch is a load of sh!t.After half a dozen openings, it seems to have stopped functioning. The lock has a push forward button, and a secondary trigger which springs open the plastic upside down U shaped catch. The U shape is very shallow, and only just covers the frame - again a clever big dog would have no problem dislodging it.As mentioned, the two part lock mechanism (which is overkill for a pet gate) stopped functioning correctly after half a dozen operations, we now have to lift the gate, lift the lock mech, and push down on the U shaped catch. But it's all too easy too not 'click' it into place now.Instead, as there is poor tolerance on the gate, plus the minimal plastic swingstop/U catch, it just as easy to lift the gate open.Only just fine for our tiny pup, NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE for anything else. The steelwork seems fine, but they really need to take a leaf out a Lindam baby gate!VERY POOR AND HIGHLY OVERPRICED, I DO NOT RECOMEND!Edit: having been up for just over a day, our pup could squeeze between one section, and got her head stuck in another. I have now had to add MDF cladding over the bars, totally negating why I bought this pet gate - over a baby gate. Total cr@p.

Pet gate with cat flap
Well made white coated steel pet gate that stands 41" tall and acts as a barrier at our loft door to keep the dogs out, while still allowing the cats to access 'their' territory via the flap at the base of the gate. I have actually removed the plastic flap and just left the hole open, and it comfortably accommodates our big hefty tom with no problem at all.The gate is very easy to fit, with supplied wall cups, and the tension bolts are adjusted by turning a wheel on the bolt rather than with a spanner. There is a plastic block at the base of the gate that can be unscrewed and reversed depending on which way you want it to swing open, or else you can leave it off and it will open both ways. The lock is easy to operate, with a thumb safety catch and a pull-up handle.Very pleased with this and would recommend.

Good gate - but beware if you need to return it!
Bought one gate and was happy with it - worked well. Bought another to cover another door but the catch was faulty and it had to be returned. Just be careful - if you need to return it I was not offered a collection but was only offered the mail it back yourself option. This is a large object - especially once its back in its box. I could not carry it and it was too large for the post office. In the end I had to get a courier to return it at a cost of £12 which I won't get refunded - so I'm not happy.

This gate has been great, because it has stopped one of our cats ...
We use this to keep my son out of the kitchen (I know you're not supposed to use it with kids, but so far we have had no issues at all). This gate has been great, because it has stopped one of our cats getting stressed out at the pinch point in our house. The old one caused him to get so stressed (he wouldn't jump over it) he developed a urinary tract blockage and nearly died. This has definitely been a success and has helped ensure this doesn't happen again.

Might need to remove the flap.
Easy to assemble. Its very tall. Don't think the dogs will be able to jump over. The cats haven't figured out the flap yet. I may need to remove it. Not the products fault, I don't have the smarttest cats. The flap is kinda big, so if you have large cats they should be abble to fit.If you have small dogs they will easly fit through the flap, but that shouldn't really need to be said.
