Works great
Removed the old one them put this one in. I hadvto reset the settings and it started to record again. Have had no problems.

Good Value for what I needed
Bought 2 of these drives to replace hard drives in 2 of my computers. One for an increase in size, .5T to 1T and the other to replace an aging drive. Both have been cloned and installed and are working fine.

Seagate ST1000NM0011 1TB HD
I purchased 5 of these to replace end of life drives also by Seagate. The drives received were branded Dell. They were to be used in a NAS server and so far one is working well with no problems. I also checked the warranty on-line and it proved to be what it should. This drive appears to be a direct replacement for the ST31000340NS.

Three years later this drive is still kicking. Almost daily use in a gaming rig in a RAID setup. So far no bad sectors or anything. Seagate FTW.Good HDD installs nice mounts easyIts a little on the loud side but nothing too extremely noticeable. 10/10 job.

Inexpensive, but prone to early death
These don't last anywhere close to the MTBF ratings, but they are warrantied for a fairly long time or they are now getting cheap enough to replace if they happen to make it past the warranty period, which about half the time in my experience.

Good Hard Drive and its easy to install. A bit loud when you listen to it by your machine, but not to noticeable.

Did a stress test first and only several small bad sectors showed up; cloned the old HDD (a WD 250 GB) installed it and started using it with big improvement in speed.
