Worked Perfectly For My Winter Cloches
I bought these to use as part of my winter cloches. First I bought a 25 m long coil of 20 mm dia blue MDPE water pipe and cut it into it into 20 x 1.25 m lengths. Because they are cut from a coil they have a natural curved shape when cut. Then I cut 20 of the stakes in half to give me 40 x 600 mm long stakes. I pushed the stakes approx halfway into the soil 0.9 m apart at about 1.0 m spacing along the veggie trench and pushed the MDPE pipes onto them. Then I simply covered the frames with heavy duty fleece and pegged the fleece to the soil using crop protection fleece cover clips and stainless steel pegs. It worked brilliantly and should last me for many years.A word of caution: The stakes have a hollow steel (or possibly aluminium?) tube covered in plastic so do not try to bend them or they will crease.

Dangerous as supplied
Very easy to poke your eye or a child's eye out as this cane features sharp points at each end. There are suitable cane toppers available from Amazon that can fix this safety problem.Apart from that it is a sturdy plant support very suitable for plastic ring supports as it is a constant diameter.Very pleased with final result

Good sturdy stakes
Been after these for a while and sold out in all the local garden places. 25 was more than I needed or so I thought but have now used them all around the garden

Sturdy bamboo cane alternative
I used these for decorative glass cane toppers. Having used bamboo before, these are much sturdier and should last a lot longer. Also because they are rigid, they are much easier to push into the soil.
