The Pussers Cook Book: Traditional Royal Navy recipes

Alright but I was expecting something a little bit thicker with more recipes as we use to cook a lot more than was shown

This book is a real joy. I was sustained by Navy chefs for many years and always appreciated their efforts in often difficult circumstances. Anyone remotely associated with the Services will enjoy reading the recipes for much loved dishes along with anecdotes and slang. It is a well written book full of insights into a disappearing world as the Navy modernises.

For those of you that have served in the Senior Service, you'll love this book. A real trip down memory lane.

Bought for my ex-navy chef stepdad for his Christmas , he absolutely loved it and all of the recipes brought a smile to his face! Book was thicker than expected, I’d say this is good value for money overall.

Brings back memories, not all wonderful. Pictures don’t truly reflect the served up dishes ! Try them out on the grandkids soon.
